How to Get to Furano Ski Resort
By Bus
Several bus companies offer direct trips to Furano Ski Resort from Sapporo, New Chitose Airport, and Asahikawa Airport during the winter season. The bus ride from Sapporo or New Chitose Airport takes around 2.5 hours, while it’s only a 1.5-hour ride from Asahikawa Airport.
By Train
If you prefer taking the train, you can travel to Furano Station and then take a local bus or taxi to the ski resort, which is about a 10-20 minute ride away. From Sapporo, take the JR Nemuro Line, or during peak seasons, there are direct express trains from Sapporo to Furano.
By Car
Furano Ski Resort is approximately a 2.5 to 3-hour drive from New Chitose Airport (150 km) and about 2.5 hours from Sapporo (116 km). Hokkaido is a great place to drive, so renting a car in Sapporo and going on a road trip is one of the best ways to see the prefecture!
