Best Hotels Near Namba Station
Known as the magnetic centre of Osaka, Namba offers a delightful assault of the senses. Dressed up by the dazzling neon lights of Dotonbori (and the famous Glico Man!), the area is also home to the famous Namba Yasaka Shrine and Kuromon Ichiba Market.
The station has two lines — Osaka Metro and Nankai Electric Railway — and can be easily reached from Kansai Airport via the Nankai Limited Express Rapi:t or limousine bus.

With only 21 rooms at Natural Hot Spring Midosuji Hotel, the cosy hotel offers a frills-free stay near Namba station. Stay in a standard twin or double room, a superior twin room, or a semi-double room. The rooms come with yukatas, which can be freely worn around the hotel. Don the yukata for a trip to the onsite onsen too, which is open in the evenings until 11pm!
There isn’t any breakfast provided at the hotel, but there are tons of food options in the surrounding area. The hotel is a short walk to Namba Parks, a giant shopping complex, and is a mere stone’s throw away from the popular Gyukatsu Motomura restaurant chain. Craving for something light? Japan’s convenience stores never disappoint, with a Family Mart just a one-minute walk from the hotel.
3. Fraser Residence Nankai Osaka
Distance to Namba station: 3 minutes walk
Whether you’re in Osaka for a longer trip or travelling with kids, having a kitchen is a total godsend for days you want to enjoy a cosy night in. Umeda station is located right next to Osaka station — comprising two transportation hubs that teem with people throughout the day. In fact, Umeda station is said to be the busiest station in Western Japan! It’s served by the Hanshin Electric Railway, Hankyu Railway, and Osaka Metro. Osaka station has the Osaka Loop Line, as well as the JR Kobe and JR Kyoto lines.
The Osaka-Umeda is a retail therapy paradise with multiple department stores, a massive labyrinth of underground shopping alleys, and covered shopping arcades. Pop by Umeda Sky Building for a gorgeous panoramic view, or HEP FIVE to ride on the giant red ferris wheel.
4. Hotel Granvia Osaka
Distance to Osaka/Umeda station: 1 minute walk

Best Hotels Near Shin-Osaka Station
If you’re taking a shinkansen from other parts of Japan to Osaka or vice versa, you’ll most likely arrive at, and depart from, Shin-Osaka station. Hop on the JR West, JR Central, or Osaka Metro here.
7. Remm Shin-Osaka
Distance to Shin-Osaka station: 1 minute walk
Overlooking Shin-Osaka station, Remm Shin-Osaka is the ideal base for taking multiple day trips out of Osaka — even more so if you’re travelling with a JR Pass. Feet aching after a long day of walking? You’ll be delighted to know that each room comes with a massage chair. The rooms here may be on the compact side, but they’re functional and cosy.
Despite its location next to a train station, the hotel offers a quiet and restful sleep, especially if you’re in a room on the higher floors. In fact, the ‘Remm’ in its name comes from ‘REM sleep’!
8. Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station
Distance to Shin-Osaka station: 2 minutes walk
If you’re in the mood for luxury, Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka fits the bill perfectly. Explore Shinsekai, take a stroll in Tennoji Park, visit Shitennoji Temple (one of Japan’s oldest temples!), check out an aerial view of the city from HARUKAS 300 Observatory, and more. Or, how about taking the Hankai Tramway to explore the lesser-known parts of Osaka?
Tennoji station can also be reached directly from Kansai Airport via the JR Haruka Express.
10. Hotel Bali Tower Osaka Tennoji

Hotel Bali Tower Osaka Tennoji is hands-down one of Osaka’s best family-friendly hotels. You’re probably familiar with the all-inclusive Club Med — well, this is the Osaka version. As its name suggests, the hotel is modelled after a Bali island retreat. It offers an all-inclusive experience, including activities like karaoke and darts; all-you-can-drink alcohol (we know?!), afternoon tea; and even piping bowls of ramen.

11. Miyako City Osaka Tennoji
Distance to Tennoji station: 1 minute walk
It doesn’t get more convenient than a stay at Miyako City Osaka Tennoji! Located right opposite Tennoji station, the hotel offers twin and triple, as well as quad rooms for families or larger groups. With a whopping 17 room categories, there’s definitely something for everyone.

12. COGO Tennoji
Distance to Tennoji station: 6 minutes walk
COGO Tennoji is a hotel/hostel that offers great bang for your buck. Embrace local culture with a stay in private Japanese-style rooms fitted with tatami mats and futons. For the best of both worlds, get a room that comes with Western beds and a Japanese-style seating area. Or, how’s this for a unique layout: if you’re travelling in a larger group, there’s even a room that has six single beds arranged in two rows. Each bed is separated by a partial partition, giving each guest added privacy.
Solo travellers, here’s looking at you: you can also stay in capsule dormitories (only for guests over 16 years of age). Hang out with other like-minded travellers in the lounge, which has drinks and board games.
Best Hotels Near Osakako Station
Osakako is a train station on the Osaka Metro (Chuo line), and is the closest station to Osaka Bay. The highlight of Osaka Bay is Tempozan Harbor Village, where you’ll find the Kaiyukan Ocean Aquarium, Tempozan ferris wheel, and the Naniwa Kuishinbo Yokocho food court. Why, you can even explore the bay on a pirate ship cruise!
13. Osaka Port Hotel L’Espoir
Distance to Osakako station: 2 minutes walk
Osaka Port Hotel L’Espoir is a basic and fuss-free accommodation option. It only has one room category — twin room — which comes with a small kitchenette that includes a refrigerator and stove. And at its low price point, this sounds like a pretty good deal if you ask us!
All rooms are non-smoking, and you’ll have the option to add a light breakfast to your stay plan. The hotel also has a lovely rooftop terrace.
#KlookTip: In general, don’t be alarmed if you’re asked to pay a city tax upon check-in. This is common practice in Japan! Good news is, you won’t have to pay the tax for rooms below 7000yen (~S$63).

Distance to Osakako station: 1 minute walk
Marked by a bright pink door, Guest House Yadomaru charms guests with its quirky and whimsical decor. Stay in mixed and gendered dormitories, or private twin rooms — whichever you fancy. Hang out with other travellers at the shared lounge, which also houses a little bar. Grab a cocktail, play a board game, and even keep a lookout for movie nights from time to time.
There are photo ops all over the hostel: even the corridors are covered in a tropical leafy motif. The toilets are clean and well-stocked; next to the sinks, you’ll find baskets containing hair dryers, Listerine, cotton buds, facial foam, and more. 15. Bande Hotel Tempozan
Distance to Osakako station: 6 minutes walk
