Step 1: Prepare your supporting documents
Those traveling to Singapore as Short-term visitors will have to prepare their passport information, accepted proof of vaccination, and details of their Singapore accommodation for their VTP application. It’s best to make sure you have all these ready before applying for a smooth process.
Step 2: Apply for your Singapore VTP online
Once you have all your documents ready, you can head to the Vaccinated Travel Pass (VTP) Application Portal to work on your VTP application. VTP applications should be done and submitted between 3 to 60 calendar days before your date of entry into Singapore. If you aren’t traveling into Singapore during this date range, apply for your VTP on a later date.

Step 3: Wait for your VTP application to be approved
Travelers that successfully submit all their requirements along with their application will be issued with a VTP immediately. In case there are any delays, you can visit the VTP Application Portal and check the VTP Application Status Tracker for its status.

No, applying for a VTP is free of charge!
3. Why was my vaccination QR code not accepted in my VTP application?
There can be a number of reasons why your QR code was rejected. Please make sure that your QR code follows the conditions below before uploading:
- The QR code is uploaded in a high-resolution, .png or .pdf format
- Your date of birth follows the correct format (DD/MM/YYYY)
- Your proof of vaccination is an accepted proof of vaccination
- You have uploaded the correct number of QR codes, and you are using the correct method of QR code upload:
- The QR code is cropped from the vaccination certificate document when uploaded:
- International COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate a full 1-page PDF file is uploaded
- QR code is in an acceptable format and by specific issuers
- You are fully vaccinated with WHO EUL Vaccines
- Your passport information matches your vaccination certificate. If not, please contact your healthcare provider or certificate issuer to get your certificate re-issued with your full name as it appears on your travel documents
- You replaced the special characters in your name as per the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority Singapore VTP guidelines
- QR Codes for boosters are not included
4. Do I need to show proof of travel insurance purchase when I apply for the VTP?
Short-term Visitors will have to declare during their VTP application that they will purchase travel insurance with a minimum coverage of SGD30,000 for Covid-19 related medical treatments. This is a required document that must be presented once you enter Singapore
5. What if my application is denied?
A VTP application is considered unsuccessful for the following reasons:
- Invalid vaccination QR code
- Submission of incomplete and/or incorrect information
- Passport validity of less than 6 months

6. If I’m traveling with family members, does every family member need to apply for a VTP?
Yes, each family member is required to apply for a VTP.
7. Is there a limit to the number of times I can apply for a VTP?
No! There is no limit to the number of times you can apply for a VTP. Each time you travel to Singapore you will be required to file a new VTP application.
8. How long is the validity of my VTP and can I change it?
A VTP is valid only for single-entry anytime from your intended date of entry up to 13 calendar days after. If suddenly your travel plans and dates change, you must submit a new VTP application.
9. Can I cancel my VTP if I can’t travel to Singapore anymore?
There’s no need to cancel your VTP. In case you are unable to use your VTP during its validity period, it will automatically expire.
