1. What is the difference between Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park?
Disneyland Paris first-timers should know that the resort has two sections: Disneyland Park and the Walt Disney Studios Park. Below are the notable differences between these parks:
Disneyland Park is made up of what typically comes to mind when you think of Disneyland: the Sleeping Beauty castle, character meet-and-greets, exciting shows and parades, and of course, the heart-pumping rides. There are five themed lands to visit here: Adventureland, Frontierland, Discoveryland, Fantasyland, and Main Street, USA.
The Walt Disney Studios Park, on the other hand, has tons of rides and shows but features more attractions that showcase how Disney and Pixar movie magic is made. You can book tram tours through the studios or participate in special activities, such as a drawing class at the Animation Academy, where you can learn how to draw a Disney character! What’s more, the Avengers Campus is set to open here in the summer of 2022, so you can look forward to new Disneyland Paris rides in what will be the biggest Marvel Cinematic Universe-themed land yet!
While it is ideal to allot two days to visit both parks, hitting them both up in one day is doable too! Just make sure to plan your trip so you get to see the attractions you’d like to visit. And don’t forget to book a two-park ticket, so you have access to Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park for the day!
2. How do I get tickets to Disneyland Paris?

3. How do I get to Disneyland from Paris?
Disneyland Paris is 32 kilometers away from the city. You may opt to drive, but the fastest and cheapest way to get there is by train, which will take about 45 minutes. You just need to take the RER A (red line) train from Paris main and get off at the Marne La Vallee-Chessy station. Don’t worry if you forget the name of the stop; the Mickey ears at the station post will tell you that you’re at the right place. From the station, the entrance to the park is just a 5-minute walk.
And if you’re traveling from London, you might consider taking the Eurostar train to Disneyland Paris. They offer direct services which take you from London St Pancras International to the resort in just 3 hours.
4. What are the must-try rides?
The number of rides at Disneyland Paris can be pretty overwhelming for first-timers (there are 54 of them so far!). If you’d like to guarantee you won’t miss any of the resort’s most popular attractions, here is a quick list of the all-time favorites and where to find them:

5. What are FastPasses, and how do I get them?
Avoid the long queues at the park rides by availing a FastPass! FastPasses are free paper tickets that let you skip the line for a ride. You can find these at the FastPass kiosks for the rides you want to go on. Just select the time you’d like to go, have your ticket printed, and come back at your scheduled appointment to skip the general line.
6. What is the single rider service?
Using the single rider lane is another time-saving tip, especially for the more popular Disneyland Paris rides. This lane is available for most roller coaster rides but is more for those riding alone or who don’t mind not being able to sit with family or friends.
7. What are the shows and parades available?
A trip to any Disneyland resort would not be complete without seeing at least one of the jaw-dropping shows.
In 2024, 3 new shows are making their debut in Paris Disneyland — Alice & the Queen of Hearts: Back to Wonderland, Disney Electrical Sky Parade, and A Million Splashes of Colour.
- Alice & the Queen of Hearts: Back to Wonderland (25 May to 29 September 2024): Catch your favorite characters in an electrifying new show at Walt Disney Studios Park.
- Disney Electrical Sky Parade (till 6 January 2025): A dazzling drone show with the Sleeping Beauty Castle as its backdrop — catch it right before the nighttime fireworks display!
- A Million Splashes of Colour (till 30 Sep 2024): Join Mickey, Timon, Joy, Mirabel, and other beloved Disney and Pixar characters in this lively daytime parade.
Of course, there's no better way to end your Disney day than by catching the iconic fireworks show. Head to the Central Plaza in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle to catch Disney Dreams (till 30 May 2024), or the return of Disney Illuminations (from 31 May 2024).
8. Why should I download the Disney mobile app?
To ensure you don’t miss any of the attractions, download the Disney mobile app! The app provides real-time updates of show schedules as well as waiting times for Disneyland Paris rides. It also has an interactive map which is helpful for finding your way around the parks. What’s more, you can book reservations for any of the 21 restaurants in the resort up to two months in advance!
9. Where can I eat at Disneyland Paris?
Eat at any of Disneyland Paris’ themed restaurants, which offer a wide array of international cuisines and one-of-a-kind dining experiences. Or, if you’d like to stay on your feet to maximize your stay, grab a Disney-themed snack at one of the snack booths. Delicious and Instagrammable!
10. When’s the best time to eat at Disneyland Paris restaurants?
Since Disneyland Paris restaurants are so popular, making reservations for peak hours is highly recommended to ensure you don’t have to wait long for a table. Otherwise, try eating during non-peak times (like 3pm) to avoid crowds and long waits for food.
