How do Universal Express Passes work?

When you purchase the Universal Studios Japan Express Pass, you’ll receive a ticket, which includes the attractions covered by your pass, attractions with timed entry, and a QR code, so you can enter the Express Lane. Each person must have their own pass to enter the Express Lane, where waiting times are half or even less than that of the Regular Lane.

How do I buy a Universal Express Pass?

We highly recommended buying Universal Studios Japan Express Passes in advance because there are only a limited number of passes available each day! The Express Pass is an additional ticket bought along with the Studio Pass, which you’ll still need to get into the park. What is the difference between Universal Express Passes?

There are two main categories of Universal Express Passes.

Universal Express Pass 4

The Universal Express Pass 4 lets you skip the lines at four of the park’s top attractions. There are different packages with different combinations of rides you can choose from. Experience Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, JAWS, Hollywood Dream - The Ride, The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man - The Ride 4K3D, and more. Universal Express Pass 7

For the Universal Express Pass 7, you can enjoy easy access to seven rides and attractions depending on the package of your choice. How do I use a Universal Express Pass?

Here’s how to use a Universal Express Pass at USJ after booking them on Klook:

Once you have your Express Pass, make sure to look at the return window that is listed there. The earliest and latest times you can return to the attraction you want to visit are indicated here.
When you're ready to visit the attraction, go to side of the queue for Universal Express Passes.
Present your Express Pass to the staff at the front
Enjoy the experience: After entering the Express Pass line, you can skip the regular queue and make the most of the attraction without the lengthy wait.

Things to note about using your Universal Express Pass at USJ:

If you’re going with friends or family, every person in your group must have a Universal Studios Japan Express Pass of their own.
Make sure you save or print the entire ticket (including the QR code!) because you’ll need to present this to park staff before going through the Express Lane! The ticket will also have the schedule for which you can access certain rides and attractions. Since timed-entry tickets can only be used at the listed attraction at the designated time, you’ll want to have the entire pass on-hand.
