Things to do in Singapore’s west side
Whoever said there was nothing to do in the west of Singapore obviously did not look hard enough! There is so much more to the west side than the stereotyped jungles and factories. We visited a goat farm, played with snow and got lost in a mirror maze. Read on to find out what we got up to in the wild west!
How to get around Singapore’s west
But before that, some of these places might be a tad inaccessible via public transport. If you’re like us and you like convenience, you wouldn’t want to spend all your time figuring out how to get from place to place.
Klook yourselves a private car charter and get from place to place hassle-free! Not only will you get to dictate your own itineraries, you’ll get whisked away from place to place in a spacious air conditioned vehicle with your professional local driver.
Now that you’ve got your transportation all settled, here’s how to have the best 12 hours in Singapore’s west!
8.00AM Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve
Take a walk on the wild side at the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve because nothing says waking up better than a stroll amongst lush greenery. For those who are morning people, this is also a great place to catch the sunrise! Bring your cameras and binoculars along because you’ll be able to spot wildlife creatures like eagles and toucans.
Head up to one of the observation pods for a bird’s eye view of the place. Plus, these pods scream Insta-worthy!

10.00AM Hay Dairies Farm
Kickstart the day bright and early with a visit to Singapore’s one and only goat farm – Hay Dairies Farm! We advise coming from 9am to 10.30am to catch the milking sessions. The goats line up and munch on hay while milking tubes connected to their udders work their magic.
After the milking session is over, head on over to the stables where the goats are kept! Be sure to purchase a pack of Alfalfa hay (SGD 5) so you can feed these greedy goats. You’re even welcome to pat these playful kids as they try to grab the hay out of your hands.
Round off your visit with a bottle of fresh cold goat’s milk, the small bottles cost SGD2.50 while the bigger bottles cost $8. You can even opt to take them home and they’ll even give you a foil pack to ensure its freshness!
Klook Fun Fact : Goat’s milk is easier to digest than cow’s milk and is great for people who are lactose intolerant!

11.30AM Lunch at Zai Shun Seafood
This humble little eatery tucked away in an unsuspecting corner of a neighborhood coffee shop Zai Shun Seafood is definitely a hidden gem!
The famous curry fish head was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand and here’s why. The fish head was one of the biggest and freshest that we’ve had. The vegetables soaked up the flavourful curry and had just the right amount of spice. Pair this with a bowl of white rice and you won’t go wrong! We paid SGD 27 for half a fish head and were left very full and satisfied!
The steamed meat patties with salted fish (SGD 10) were also a huge hit! For the locals, this is a very common home-cooked dish that will definitely bring back memories of family dinners at home.
