Of course, January 1 is a public holiday. It falls on a Monday, so you get a three-day long weekend to rest and recover after your New Year’s celebration before it’s back to work on Tuesday. Traveling during the holiday season can get quite expensive, so staying home with loved ones is best for those who don’t wanna travel during peak season.

    Eid Al Fitr

This is where Eid can get quite tricky! Eid holiday 2024, which is celebrated to mark the end of Ramadan, is estimated to fall on a Monday, April 8th, and will extend until the 12th. However, note that the exact date of Eid Al Fitr is subject to change depending on the moon sighting. But if the prediction is right, you’re looking at a possible nine-day holiday! This is the perfect amount of time to go island-hopping in Southern Thailand for seven days to visit iconic places like Phuket, Krabi, and Koh Samui. If you want more city life, fly to Japan and follow this five-day Tokyo itinerary.

    Arafat Day

This UAE holiday in 2024 is said to fall on June 15 and is considered the most sacred day of the year because it’s when Prophet Muhammad is said to have given his last sermon. This is the day pilgrims gather to pray, reflect, and recite the Quran as acts of worship. With that, establishments are usually closed to observe Arafat Day.

Again, depending on the sighting of the moon, Eid El Adha is predicted to be from June 16 until 18; that’s Sunday to Tuesday! Squeeze in a short trip to Singapore for three days for a jampacked itinerary filled with must-see tourist attractions and more.

July 7, a UAE public holiday in 2024, lands on a Sunday and marks the beginning of the Islamic lunar calendar year. Visit a mosque to offer prayers and bond with family for a wholesome day. Remember, this is the time for reflection and gratitude more than it is about grand celebrations or parties.

September 15 is considered a UAE holiday honouring Prophet Muhammad’s birthday. On this day, open-air celebrations like large parades and lively festivities can be witnessed across the country.
