Owakudani (Ōwakudani) is an area around a crater of the Mount Hakone volcano, which erupted approximately 3,000 years ago. It's famous for its active volcanic activity, where you can see sulfurous fumes rising from the steam vents and bubbling pools. While you're there, you have to try the famous black eggs, called kuro tamago. These eggs are boiled in hot springs and are said to give you seven extra years of life! If you're up for more adventure, the Owakudani Trail is a fantastic place to hike with amazing views of Mount Fuji on clear days. You can also hop on the Hakone Ropeway, which offers awesome views of the volcanic land and Lake Ashi as it takes you from Sounzan Station to Togendai Station. With so many things to do and see, Owakudani is a must-visit place in Japan. Don’t forget your camera, because the views are picture-perfect!

Enjoyed the tour because of Jack. He always made sure he explains to us the details of the places and he is very helpful in taking pictures! Would recommend this tour to anyone and it would be more fun if you have Jack as tour guide. The places are also beautiful and breath taking :)

I wanted to see Mt. Fuji, but I applied because it was hard to go to each photo spot! The guide was very kind and spoke Korean well, so I had a comfortable and enjoyable trip! I also liked the explanations about ice cream flavors and souvenirs, and I asked for pictures, and they took them well! I got on at Tokyo Station, but I could get off at Shinjuku, so I got off at Shinjuku and continued sightseeing! I highly recommend it. ㅎㅎ

Our tour guide Zoe was truly amazing and accommodating! She explained to us about the various places of interest and what are key activities within the area. She’s also well versed in multiple languages, to the point of explaining things in multiple languages so that everyone on the tour can understand. I had a really enjoyable tour, would recommend this!

Went there on Saturday, December 22, signed up for the Chinese itinerary, and took a bus with the English itinerary team to set off on the same day. The tour guide is Tour Guide Tom. He is very polite and kind, and his time management is quite good. We went to see Mount Fuji very clearly that morning, but unfortunately clouds began to accumulate in the afternoon, and Mount Fuji was almost invisible from Yamanaka Lake. The itinerary tends to be compact, with each stop lasting no more than an hour. It feels like a quick tour, after all, there are too many places to cover. Hakone Minami Shrine⛩️ is really amazing, and so is the pirate ship. It is really worth it to follow the tour guide’s advice and spend ¥800 to upgrade to first class. The weather in Oshino Hakkai and Yamanakako was very bad. In the afternoon, cumulus clouds basically made it impossible to see Mount Fuji. It was a pity that the swans were not seen in bad weather. Finally, I would like to remind everyone: (1) You have to pay an extra ¥1,200 to ride on the pirate ship. If you want to upgrade to first class, you have to pay an extra ¥800. (2) As soon as you get on the bus, the tour guide will ask the Chinese if you want to buy group meals at your own expense. Will be taken to the restaurant, with a total of four meal options. The price is ¥1500-3000. If you don’t want to eat, you may have to eat at a nearby lawson or bring your own. (3) There were as many as 48 passengers in the bus. Tourists from all over the world encountered very noisy and poor tourists who did not understand Chinese and English. They were noisy and laughing all the way, which seriously affected the quality of the ride. It is understandable that the travel agency wants to keep the travel expenses down, but it would be better if the self-funded items could be written more clearly at the beginning. There are too few lunch options, and I think it is a pity that we are semi-forced to eat at the same restaurant. In the end, I think the most critical factor that affects the entire trip is definitely the weather on the day. Clear weather is the most important, but it all depends on luck. But overall I am satisfied and Hakone is worth visiting.

The trip was enjoyable as we got to experience both the cable car and the pirate ship journey. The tour guide Mr Yasu was very informative as he explained about Japan in a fun and entertaining way. We learnt so many things about Japan from why there are very few rubbish bins around to the bidet system in the toilets. The premium outlet is so huge that 1.5 hours is not enough for shopping.

Our tour guide was Zoe. She was awesome and was super informative and kind. The tour was really great, but it's very fast paced. It's good if you want to hit all the famous spots in one day, but the amount of time at each spot is not enough to be able to enjoy it at a relaxing pace. For some places you need to pick between two places in order to make it back to the meeting point on time. If you choose this tour, bring a strong bladder and some snacks! It's definitely worth the money!
