Things to do in Mount Batur

Today, our driver, Alit, was fantastic. He was punctual, and his photography skills were excellent, helping us capture some great moments. Unfortunately, due to the weather conditions, we weren’t able to experience the sunrise as planned. Nonetheless, we’re grateful for Alit’s professionalism and the effort he put into making the trip enjoyable!

Suji and Ajix were great! Ajix fetch us from the hotel to the jeep meeting point. Picked up at about 230am and we reach the jeep meeting point about 4am and Suji took over. The jeep ride up was super adventurous and yes please bring sweater or jacket. Ride up was cold but when at the mountain is bearable. Suji was really patient and helpful with taking pictures ! Really appreciate it.

Purba, our driver and an amazing photographer, guided us through the rugged volcanic trails with fascinating insights into Bali’s culture and Mount Batur’s volcanic history. The ride was thrilling yet felt perfectly safe, with the breathtaking landscape making every moment unforgettable. The highlight was the sunrise at Mount Batur. Purba ensured we had the perfect spot to watch golden hues light up the sky as clouds rolled below – a magical experience that words and photos can’t fully capture. His attentiveness stood out, from guiding us on the trails to helping us snap stunning photos. After descending, we visited a picturesque cafe with incredible views, the perfect place to unwind. We also stopped at a coffee plantation to sample local brews and learn about traditional methods – a delightful end to an amazing trip.
