HOW TO GET TO TAIWAN

There are multiple airlines that offer flights from Manila to Taipei on a day-to-day basis. For budget options, Cebu Pacific and AirAsia usually hold seat sales, so be sure to watch out for their next sale to book your quick getaway to Taiwan!
As of 2 July 2019, Philippine passport holders do not need a visa to travel to Taiwan until 31 July 2020.
BEFORE YOU GO

Shilin Night Market
Night markets are a big thing in Taipei - and the best one is said to be Shilin Night Market. Don’t worry too much about going early; night markets in Taipei are open until the wee hours of the morning. March through rows of food stalls and clothing racks for hours and be sure to leave with a loot! Must-try food includes Stinky Tofu, Chicken Cutlets and Castella Cakes!
Day 2: Yehliu Geopark + Ximending Market
Yehliu Geopark
A popular day trip activity among tourists, Yehliu Geopark is definitely a must-do when visiting Taiwan! This Northern Taiwan seaside location is home to some of the country’s most iconic sights - specifically the naturally-carved stone structures you’ve probably seen all throughout social media.
Yehliu Ocean World
While you’re at Yehliu, make your way to Yehliu Ocean World with the family and discover new and fascinating sea creatures! This is one activity the kids will truly enjoy.
Ximending Night Market
Cap off the day at one of Taipei’s popular areas - Ximending. Here, you can spend hours looking through endless racks of clothing, munching on every kind of street food available, and picking up some pineapple cakes for friends back home.
Day 3: TAICHUNG
Rainbow Village
This aptly-name neighborhood in Taichung is home to a long walk of vibrantly painted houses and establishment. It's a great place to bring the kids and snap some photos for the 'gram!
Zhongshe Flower Fields
Also located in Taichung is the Zhonghse Flower Market. Here, you'll find the flower field of your dreams - blooming different flora every season! Don't you think this will make for some wonderful photos?
Feng Chia Night Market
Since you're in Taichung, why not check out the districts' own night markets? Discover new street food, delicacies, and even new flavours of milk tea. Feng Chia Night Market is the most popular market in Taichung, and a couple minutes through the maze of stalls will make you realize why.
Day 4: Elephant Mountain Hike
Elephant Mountain
On your final day, convince the family to do one last bonding activity. The hike up to Elephant Mountain is perfect for first-time hikers, and is better done in the morning. Apart from the glorious sunrise, you'll feast your eyes on one of the best skyline views of the city.
