    Bring on the nostalgia

Time flies when you’re all grown-up and you often catch yourself reminiscing about the good ol’ primary school days when life was that much simpler and when lunch cost a mere 50 cents.
So what better than a place for you to have a blast from the younger years? Because come on, life isn’t just about the IPhones and IPads, right?

    1. Relive primary school excursions to the aquarium

    image05
Aquariums bring back memories of much anticipated excursions to Sentosa as a rucksack-toting kid with eager faces pressed against the thick glass. Much like the days of long ago, SEA Aquarium™’s 49 different exhibits and over 100,000 marine creatures will have you gazing at their displays with the same childlike wonder.

Just like the movie, you’ll find Nemo, Dory and all their fishy friends at the Open Ocean exhibit, and even get a chance to get your hands wet with some of the interactive exhibits. I assure you it won’t just be your kids having a whale of a time!
Location: Resorts World Sentosa, 8 Sentosa Gateway, Sentosa Island
    Operating hours: 10:00am – 7:00pm daily
    Klook Price: S$21 (u.p. S$32)

    2. Climb a (super)tree!

    image02
Much like Jack & The Giant Beanstalk, these supertrees at Gardens By The Bay don’t just look pretty, you can climb them too! For just S$8, you’ll have the opportunity to (safely) climb up a 16-storey super structure for a giant’s view of the gorgeous Singapore cityscape.
While you’re there, explore a whole new world at the Flower Dome and Cloud Dome, home to Singapore’s tallest waterfall and a 35m tall man-made mountain. It’s a land of massive proportions at Gardens By The Bay that will have even the burliest grown up feeling like little Jack in the Giant’s world.
Location: 18 Marina Gardens Drive, Singapore 018953
    Operating hours: 9:00am-9:00pm daily
    Klook Price: S$22 (u.p. S$28)

    3. The place to meet the star of your dreams

    image08
As kids we all had our pop star idols and lofty dreams of eventually meeting them in person someday. We all might have grown out of that childish naivety, but nothing can take away the excitement of taking a photo with someone like Brad Pitt!
    madame tussaud
While not in person per se, the lifelike wax models of famous personalities at Madame Tussauds have been realistic enough to fool even the most discerning skeptic. With different athletes, movie stars, singers and even historical figures like on display, the whole family can enjoy getting up close and personal with the star of their dreams.
Location: 40 Imbiah Road, Sentosa Island
Operating hours: Weekdays: 10:00am-7:30pm, Weekends & Public Holidays: 10:00am-9:00pm
    Klook Price: S$22 (u.p. $39)

    4. The gallery where art comes ALIVE

    Sit and Reach
The dreaded Sit and Reach. Source
I don’t know about you but Sit and Reach was my worst station for the dreaded yearly NAPFA tests. Imagine the surprise on your friend’s face when they see pictures of you doing a full split, in-between two poles, no less!

    ALIVE museum
Ever dreamt of cruising down a river in your origami boat or feeding a giraffe from the comfort of your own Spanish courtyard? The ALIVE Museum allows you to do just that.

    5. The museum that will fool your own eyes

    image06 (Copy)
While ALIVE Museum and Trick Eye Museum might sound similar, the latter is better known for having installations featuring famous Korean personalities and adorable artwork that make it the perfect place for K-pop fans and aspiring actors.
    Trick Eye Museum
To be swallowed by a giant viper or monster fish, that is the question.

    6. A water park with REAL fishes

    image01
Move aside Fantasy Island, the lazy river at Adventure Cove Waterpark comes complete with lifelike boulders AND a tunnel with views of the multicoloured fish from SEA Aquarium!
    Adventure Cove
I love that this one-of-a-kind waterpark incorporates marine life into the theme park for a truly immersive and educational experience. If you’re scared of the open ocean but love marine life, you’ll be happy to know there’s even a tank FULL of colourful fish that you can snorkel in in a perfectly controlled environment; great for kids as well!
Location: 8 Sentosa Gateway, Sentosa Island
    Operating hours: 10:00am – 6:00pm daily

    7. The theme park you will never tire of

    image00 (Copy) (Copy)
We all have that one friend who’s crazily obsessed with the minions or Sesame Street characters and will absolutely LOVE you if you bring them to Universal Studios Singapore. Step into the land of Far Far Away or face your fears at the Mummy Ride with a day full of fun activities that bring your childhood movies to life.
Better still, from now till 2 Jan 2017, USS will be home to the World’s Largest Indoor Light Display for their Santa’s All-Star Christmas Event! Now it’s definitely beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
Location: 8 Sentosa Gateway, Sentosa Island, Singapore 098269
