1. Visit the Diguisit Beach and Falls

The two are only a few meters away from each other so you can definitely walk back and forth, or end your trek with a swim on the shore. 2. Camp at Dicasalarin Cove
Expect a tranquil stay at the Dicasalarin Cove, where you'll be surrounded by lush mountains and cerulean seas. For an affordable fee, this private Baler beach with white sands is open for day tour and overnight camping. You can also rent out island huts, tents, airbeds, and more. Enjoy the view while peacefully relishing your meal at the resident beach bar and restaurant.

3. Say a prayer at the historic Baler Church
Make a wish as you step inside The San Luis Obispo Parish Church for the first time. More commonly known as the Baler Church, this religious dwelling was built in 1611 using bamboo shacks and nipa. The church was then improved and rebuilt over the years to get to how it is today. This historic site also became a garrison during the Spanish regime, and has witnessed the famous Siege of Baler. In 2000, the church was declared as one of the country's historical landmarks.

4. Get to know former President Manuel L. Quezon better
You can only get to know people better when you've visited their hometown. Former Philippine President Manuel L. Quezon was born in Baler, Aurora, which is why many local attractions wer named after him. Some of the things you have to check out are his vintage presidential car and the replica home of his wife Doña Aurora Aragon Quezon. A Quezon Memorial Park was also built to mark his birthplace. The Museo de Baler, which displays exhibits of the Quezon family and other historic town events, is located in this park.

5. Surf at Sabang Beach
Ride the tides at the Sabang Beach where surfing competitions are held. Both beginners and pro surfers can enjoy this Baler beach. But if you are newbie who would just like to try it out, you can enroll at a local surf school or hire a surfing instructor. Surfboards are available for rent as well.

6. Trek the Ermita Hill
One of the highest places in Baler overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the Ermita Hill has an interesting story to tell. In 1735, a strong tidal wave known as Tromba Marina washed out the town. Only seven families managed to survive by climbing up Ermita Hill. Today, a sculpture depicting the climb and tidal wave can be found in this popular local attraction. There is also a chapel, and a white Cross at the top of the Ermita Hill.

7. See the beauty of nature at the Balete Park
Did you know that the biggest Balete tree in Asia is found in Aurora? Named the Millennium Tree of Asia, don't miss out the opportunity to see this 600-year-old and 215 feet tall Balete tree when you come to Baler. The tree is under the care of its neighboring town Maria Aurora but has been a popular itinerary staple of tourists visiting Baler.
