Gather the Wolf Pack!
If you're looking to forget your troubles and have a wild night out, why not take inspiration from “The Hangover” and head to Thailand? In this article, we'll give you the lowdown on Bangkok restaurants and bars featured in the film so you can have your own Hangover-style night out.
The comedy sequel follows a group of buddies on a bachelor party trip gone awry and was an instant classic. As it turns out, most of part two was filmed in Bangkok in several different locations. From the seedy red-light district of Bangkok to the beautiful beaches of Krabi, there's something for every type of partygoer.
1. Phulay Bay Ritz-Carlton
Even before the happy ending, we get a glimpse of the wedding location which took place at the swanky Phulay Bay Ritz-Carlton. The beachfront and hotel interiors were all shot at this luxury resort tucked in Krabi, a southern province of Thailand. How Stu and his entourage were able to afford all this is a mystery to us, considering a standard night at this 5-star location costs 13,500 THB or approximately $380.

2. Sirocco Restaurant
Many of the film’s sequences were shot at the lebua Hotel, one of them being the Sirocco Restaurant. This is where we first get introduced to Kingsley, played by Paul Giamatti. During the shoot, this Bangkok restaurant was transformed into a film set, with the iconic golden dome making a couple of appearances.
This isn’t the place to dine if you’re looking for Thai food, but they do serve elaborate Mediterranean cuisine.

Address: 63rd Floor, State Tower Bangkok, 1055 Silom Road, Bangrak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand

3. Sky Bangkok
Situated just across lebua Hotel’s Sirocco Restaurant is the famous Sky Tower Club. It’s one of the world’s highest rooftop cocktail bars, suspended 820 feet above the ground. Being all that way up, you know you’ll get breathtaking views of Bangkok, especially during sundown. They’ve even got Hangovertini drinks in honor of the film to get your night started.
Klook tip: Sirocco and Sky have a strict smart casual dress code, so leave your athleisure wear, slippers, beach sandals, and flip-flops at home.

4. Beer Garden
While there might not be a mention of the Beer Garden in Hangover II, this is where The White Lion Bar and Boo Sa Bar are located. The façade of the pub was completely remodeled for the film where a night of chaos ensued, so you might not recognize it right off the bat. It’s a quieter street compared to Soi Cowboy and is a great place to get reasonably priced Thai food and draft beer.

Opening Hours: 9:30am – 12am (Daily)
5. Cactus Bar
Cactus Bar is located on Soi Cowboy, one of Bangkok’s red-light districts. Known for its nightlife, this is where the boys go off for their forgettable antics. However, only the entryway of Siam Sam was used for filming, while the interior scenes were shot at Tilac Bar. Just like the movie, expect a lot of loud music, drinking, and nudity in this area.

Address: Soi Cowboy, Khwaeng Khlong Toei Nuea, Khet Watthana, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10110, Thailand
Opening Hours: 7pm – 2:30am (Daily)
6. Chinatown Scala Restaurant
In one of the credit scene photos, we vaguely see a neon sign for the Chinatown Scala Restaurant in the background. This landmark at Yaowarat Road has been around since 1951 and is well-known for its shark’s fin soup. If you’re dealing with an actual hangover, you might want to drop by this Bangkok restaurant and sober up with their soup.

Opening Hours: 9am – 11pm (Daily)
7. Urai Restaurant
We don’t think you’d be heading to Song Wat Road to chase after monkeys as the Wolf Pack did. Regardless, we still suggest checking out this historic road to explore the local food scene and discover more Bangkok restaurants. Urai Restaurant is one of the hidden gems you’ll find in this area that serves delicious Thai food like fish ball noodle soup or braised goose.

8. Baan Khanitha Cruise
Remember the scene where the Wolf Pack is racing along the Chao Phraya River? Several Bangkok restaurants are lined along the river, but you could also opt for an 8-course dining cruise. Baan Khanitha Cruise is operated by a restaurant chain of the same name and hits two birds with one stone by taking you on a culinary Thai food trip, all while you take in the vistas of Thailand.
