This vibrant and homely spot has been serving unique and delicious cafe fare since 2015, and whether you’re looking for a morning cuppa or a wholesome plate of pasta, they’ve surely got what you need.
The cafe offers a yummy range of all-day breakfast options, gourmet sandwiches, pastas and desserts. The extensive beverage menu here is also an absolute delight, but their coffee options take the cake. 2. La Risata
La Risata was established in 1996 and is definitely no stranger to the locals, especially when it comes to Italian dining. The eatery serves authentic and hearty Italian cuisine that range from generous plates of pasta and risotto, to delectable desserts like the panna cotta and cannoli.
The Italian eatery is also one of our favourite spots for pizza. The pizza menu here is divided into two types of choices based on their base sauce and offers a selection of over 15 quality pies. The restaurant also offers a selection of red and white wine to complement your meal.

3. Fox Paradox
Dubbing themselves as the neighbourhood cafe in Ampang, Fox Paradox is the place to go if you're in the area and searching for some good breakfast, brunch or coffee. Located in The Grange KL (also known as Ampwalk Mall), the cafe features a sleek, yet cosy setting of polished cement and potted plants, making this a hip spot to check out while you're in the area.
You can expect seriously good coffee while you're here, as the owner has been in the industry for over a decade. Pair that cup of joe with a hearty plate of brunch - take your pick from a gluten-free pancake, toasts, omelettes, pastas or any one of their sweet treats. Our personal favourites are their donuts!

4. Kenny Hills Bakers
Kenny Hills Bakers started off as a small bakery in a tiny half-lot back in 2014, and has expanded into three stores over the years, one of them located right here in Ampang. With a vow to serve great coffee, amazing pastries, cakes, and organic breads to local communities, the people behind Kenny Hill Bakers have held tight to their mission since day one.
Indulge in an endless selection of treats from sourdough loaves to organic bagels, pies, tarts, mini pavlovas, toasties, and cakes when you pop by. Whether you're craving something sweet or savoury, you'll find your cup of tea here. The outlet here is our favourite, where there's lots of seating space and a cosy ambiance!

5. The Garage KL
Head over to The Garage KL and you'll find yourself at an urban commercial outlet uniquely made out of shipping containers, featuring an event space, specialty stores, a salon, a motor workshop and the highlight of it all - its very own cafe. The perfect place to enjoy a weekend hangout with your friends, the cafe has good food, comfortable seatings and live entertainment.
Here, you can enjoy a rather wide range of Western fare, as well as a few Asian dishes, a kids' menu and delectable desserts. If you've got a sweet tooth, you'll especially enjoy the drinks that they serve here. Take your pick from a variety of delightful milkshakes, smoothies, frappes, or if you'd just like something simple, just go with their coffee or tea.
6. Fine Coffee & Flowers
If you're a fan of cafes that exude Korean cafe aesthetics (we're talking pale, light woods and minimalist furnishing), Fine Coffee & Flowers is the place to be at. Founded by a family of florists and tucked away in Ampang's Little Korea neighbourhood, this cosy lot doubles as both a cafe and a florist shop, where you can get yummy cakes and stunning bouquets.
With minimalistic furniture, pastel florals and a serene ambiance, the cafe has a small but lovely menu with a selection of main courses (Big Breakfast, Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Smoked Salmon Toast, and more) and desserts like Black Sesame Pudding, Baked Cheesecake, and Houjicha Roll. They also have a dreamy selection of drinks from strawberry latte to earl grey tea!

What we love most about B.Station is the homey, comfortable vibe the little restaurant exudes, you'll be put at ease the moment you step in! Located in Ampang's popular "Korea Town", B.Station stands apart from other Korean restaurants in the area by focusing on serving up healthy yet delicious home-style food, cooked with no MSG or preservatives.
Many items such as tofu and kimchi used in their meals are even made from scratch with only top-notch ingredients. While the restaurant is not Halal-certified, they use only Halal-certified ingredients and your food is prepared by a Muslim chef who does their magic in the kitchen.

8. Tim's Teapot Terrace
Located not too far from Zoo Negara is Tim's Teapot Terrace, a cosy and charming cafe tucked in Taman Melawati. There are two entrances to the cafe, but our favourite is the one complete with a glass window showcasing their mouth-watering display of freshly baked cakes.
Inside, the cafe's interior is decked out in their impressive collection of teapots, in all sorts of shapes, sizes and colours. It's no surprise that this place has become one of our favourites to enjoy a lovely tea time session, but even if you're coming for lunch or dinner, the cafe serves a range of comfort food too, from pies to pasta.
9. Tamarind Springs
You're in for a visual and sensory feast when you step into the space of Tamarind Springs. Beautifully designed with architecture that takes inspiration after traditional houses, this hidden gem is set within Ampang's natural forest reserve and is furnished with rustic Balinese furniture, stone-carved statues, subdued lighting, and lots of greens.
