Jaslyn Cakes' cakes are so good they sell like hot cakes - the good ones always run out by the afternoon, so you better head over early if you have a specific favourite in mind! There are only 2 shops located in Bangsar and Mont Kiara, and both are pretty small yet super quaint and homey (and smell so good - with heavenly scents of honey, vanilla, and chocolate!). Our favourite bakes from the place are the Custard Donuts, Pavlova, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake.

16. Kakiyuki
Kakigori is a popular shaved ice dessert with origins from Japan. It was a special delicacy served to upper-class noblemen in the hot summers, made with ice reserved in ice chambers since winter, and shaved by hand with a well-trained knife. Beat the heat with a good old bowl of shaved ice topped with sweet, gooey sauces from Kakiyuki (formerly known as Kakigōri), the Kakigori OG in Malaysia.
