Blackwattle Bay Park is the perfect spot for a low-key snag on the barbie and picnic with friends. The park is part of the Glebe Foreshore Walk which is also well worth a stroll.

If you haven't been to Centennial Park, you are crazy. There we said it. It is the ultimate long, lazy picnic spot in Sydney and has everything you need. Centennial Park is a grand stretch of greenery designed in a distinctly European style. The park truly has the best of everything, with ponds, sprawling gardens, statues and heritage buildings. With wide avenues and gates, it's not unusual to see horse riders — so you could be mistaken for thinking you travelled back in time.
The park is enormous, which means you can always find a secluded spot and have your own slice of scenery. Centennial Park really offers the best open spaces in Sydney and is perfect for a picnic all year round with family and friends.
