Bridgerton's world is a luxurious one, full with beautiful estates and glitzy events. If you've been wondering where to live out your wildest wisteria-filled dreams, here’s where you can find the stunning real-life castles, palaces and gardens that form the filming locations in Season 1 and Season 2 of Bridgerton!
(If you haven't seen Season Two of Bridgerton yet, watch it here.)
1. The Bridgerton's House
Lady Bridgerton resides with her gorgeous family Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Gregory, Daphne, Eloise, Francesca and Hyacinth in a dreamy ivy and wisteria-covered red brick Georgian mansion. The exterior of the Bridgerton House's actually inspired by a Palladian-style palace in South London called Ranger’s House.
Did you know?
This Georgian palace was really inhabited by King George III's sister, Princess Augusta, around the period Bridgerton is set (in 1813). Today, English Heritage manages the stunning mansion, which has a world-class art collection that includes mediaeval sculptures, beautiful jewellery, and superb French tapestries.
Address: Chesterfield Walk, Blackheath, London
2. The Duke's House
We were first wowed by this beautiful house in Season 1 when Daphne catches a glimpse of Simon's home with its amazing fountains, quadrangle and sheer size.
The interiors of Wilton House were used throughout Season 2, featuring different chambers for both of Queen Charlotte's residences: St. James's Palace and Buckingham Palace (then called Buckingham House). Wilton House's iconic Double Cube Chamber may also be seen during Eloise's botched social debut in Charlotte's throne room.
Did you know?
Wilton House also serves as Buckingham Palace in The Crown.
Address: Wilton, Salisbury, UK
3. The park of love
Many of Anthony and Kate's most romantic scenes in Season 2 take place in Windsor Great Park, notably when the Viscount and Miss Sharma meet on their horses. The vast rural park also serves as the woods outside Aubrey Hall, and therefore serves as the setting for their charged pall-mall retrieval. Perhaps you'll discover your true love among these 4,800 acres of greenery as well.
Address: The Crown Estate, Windsor Great Park, UK
4. Hampton Court Palace
Hampton Court Palace, like Wilton House, is a place that appears frequently during Season 2. The palace, which was previously the seat of King Henry VIII, acts as the backdrop for Eloise's meeting with her new love interest, Theo Sharpe, at Chancery Lane Printing Press. It also serves as the setting for other garden scenes in Bridgerton, notably those of Buckingham House and Danbury House.
Address: Hampton Court Way, East Molesey, Surrey
5. Bridgerton Ballroom
Season 2's stunning first ball takes place at Syon House in Brentford's Syon Park. The conservatory where Anthony and Kate first recognise each other may be found here.
Address: Brentford, Middlesex
6. The Polo Club
The Polo Club scenes in Season 2, Episode 2 were filmed at the Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club. The episode-long Bridgerton-Sharma visit to the racetrack takes place at the Windsor Athletic Club.
Address: North Street, Winkfield, Windsor
7. Wilton’s Music Hall
Eloise walks into Wilton's Music Hall, where she encounters her first feminist protest. In today's world, you're more likely to find a Cockney sing-along or storytelling event at the famous East End theatre, which has been around since the 1690s in some form or another.
Address: 1 Graces Alley, London
8. Primrose Hill
The Bridgertons spend lots of time at the parks and gardens. These scenes were filmed at Painshill Park. The serpentine lake, Gothic temple, curving bridges, and winding walks of Primrose Hill lead you on a trip of stunning panoramas and exquisite garden follies.
Address: Cobham, Surrey
