    Spending a layover at Singapore Changi Airport is an experience like no other.     Pass the time at the only butterfly garden in an airport. Revel in the sight of the vibrant flowers and greenery as you enter the two-storey space. As you walk further into the gardens, you’ll find a 6-metre tall waterfall and of course, around a thousand butterflies flying around!

    Get a glimpse of the desert when you visit the Cactus Garden. With plants from Asia, Africa, and America, you won’t run out of interesting cactus shapes to admire and take photos of. Keep your eyes peeled for the edible apple and prickly pear cacti.

    Who needs to drive for hours to visit a field or farm when you can surround yourself with golden blooms at the Sunflower Garden inside Singapore Airport. Take in the floral aroma and snap Instagram-worthy pictures of the cheery flowers. The great part about it is that it’s also a great visit at night thanks to impressive lighting effects!

    Experience a slice of state-of-the-art paradise at Enchanted Garden. As you walk through the pathways, you’ll be treated to magical lighting effects and realistic sounds of nature, all activated by motion sensors. You’ll also find intricately sculpted art installations along the way.

    Singapore isn’t called the Garden City for nothing. Among its airports’ many gardens is a green space dedicated to the country’s own national flower. At Orchid Garden, you’ll see over 700 orchids sorted according to nature’s four elements: earth, air, wind, and fire.

    One of the things that make the Singapore Airport so great is the facilities that are available to travellers for free, including the Snooze Lounge. You can take a nap on a comfy chair or just rest as you wait for your flight. There are also power stations available around so you can snooze as you wait for your devices to charge.

One of the best options is the Changi Lounge, where you can make the most out of the spacious seats and quiet environment, along with snacks and drinks. There are also desks and meeting rooms if you need to work.

    Calling all movie lovers! Singapore Airport has a treat for you. Enjoy classic films and new blockbusters at the Movie Theatre. Everyone can watch the movies for free! But that’s not all; it also plays films non-stop for 24 hours, so you can catch a flick no matter how early or late you land in SG.

    On top of the different gardens and impressive lounges, there are also incredible art installations all around the airport. One of the most recognizable ones is the Kinetic Rain sculpture that greets visitors near the entrance of Terminal 1. There are also newer ones like the eye-catching Petal Cloud piece that hangs in the air at Terminal 4.

    Cool off and relax with a swim at the pool on the rooftop of Singapore Airport. Watch aeroplanes fly by as you float along the water. Too cold for a swim? Go for a soak in the jacuzzi instead and soothe your aching muscles before your flight.

    If the jacuzzi is not enough to relieve your body pains, then spa services should do the trick. There are several options available at the airport but one of the best is the Plaza Premium Lounge, where you can get a professional masseuse to work on your sores and aches. You can also have your nails done for a complete spa day at the airport!
