Visit Oakvale for the ultimate hands-on wildlife and water park, set on 25 acres of open natural bushland! There is plenty of space for everyone, and you can meet up to 100 different species.

1. What can you see at Oakvale Wildlife Park?
You can see it all at Oakvale - mammals, reptiles, birds and farm animals included! From dingos, koalas, laughing kookaburras, alpacas, ostrich, Arabian Camels, Chinese Silky Bantams and more!
Feed the free-roaming animals, explore the park on the tractor-trailer ride and enjoy the complimentary BBQ facilities and onsite cafe for you to enjoy lunch in one of the undercover picnic areas.
2. What can you do at Oakvale Wildlife Park?
There is always something on throughout the day to keep everyone entertained!
There is actually a Splash Bay at Oakvale - so if it's a sunny day, don't forget your swimmers for a good ol' splash to cool off.
Included in your entry fee are a variety of talks and activities providing relevant, meaningful information and education, along with some fun and excitement for young and old:
3. What time is Oakvale Wildlife Park open?
Oakvale Wildlife Park is open 10am -5pm daily. Oakvale Wildlife Park is open every day
Except for Christmas Day (25th December). The last entry into the park is at 4.15pm.
Tip - get there early so you get the opportunity to see and visit the keeper talks, feeding shows, explore the two large shaded playgrounds and splash bay water park!
4. How to get to Oakvale Wildlife Park?
Oakvale Wildlife Park is located in the heart Port Stephens on the North Coast of New South Wales t 3 Oakvale Drive, Salt Ash 2318 NSW, Australia.
They are an easy 2-hour drive (181km) north of Sydney, 30-minute drive from Newcastle, 25-minute drive from Nelson Bay, 1-hour drive from the Hunter Valley and 10km from Newcastle Airport. Heading north-bound on Nelson Bay Road, turn right onto Oakvale Drive at the Salt Ash round-about.
There is a large car park which can facilitate easy parking for coaches, caravans, boats and camper parking while you explore the park - which is absolutely free!
5. Can I get food at Oakvale Wildlife Park?
The Oakvale Cafe is located inside Oakvale Wildlife Park’s main entrance and serves lunch from 10.30am – 3.00pm. The cafe offers a selection of freshly made sandwiches and wraps, burgers and wedges, plus other hot and cold options to suit the whole family.
As part of your entry fee to Oakvale, there is also the option for you to bring along a packed lunch and enjoy the beautifully landscaped picnic areas or use the FREE electric barbeque facilities!
