Disney: Magic of Animation Exhibition
1. Bringing Drawings to Life
You can’t think about Disney without mentioning the MVP Mickey Mouse! Featuring Steamboat Willie (1928), the FIRST Disney cartoon to have sounds synchronised with the animation on screen, this exhibition slowly uncovers how they’ve brought these 2D illustrations to life.
Spin the reel and watch Mickey come alive!
2. The Magic Begins
Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho, it’s off to work we go ~ Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) is another classic that almost all of us have watched over and over again when we were little. Did you know that this was the world’s FIRST feature length animated film in Technicolor?
Mirror mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all? It’s YOU! Rearrange the different accessories on the mirror and level up your selfie with the cutest stickers.
Discover the story sketches and the display of the multi-pane camera that transformed the way Disney animated movies were made.
3. Producers of Magic
Every visit to Disneyland brings right in front of Sleeping Beauty’s castle. At the exhibit, you’ll be able to see different artistic styles of the castle and concept art that brought to life the Sleeping Beauty movie (1959).
4. Towards New Dimensions
No Disney movie is complete without a killer soundtrack you can belt out to in the shower. As Disney’s films began to evolve, the use of computer graphics and leading broadway artists have brought to us the striking films of the 1990s.
Stop by Pride Rock and catch a couple of scenes out of the Lion King (1994). You have been warned, there will be tear-jerking scenes.
You too can try your hand out at accompanying music! Pick up a sound equipment and clap it when the symbol flashes on the screen. From the sounds of Khan galloping in the wind to the force of the great typhoon, work together with your Disney squad to bring the movie alive!
5. Bringing People Together
What truly hits home about Disney movies is the clever way they weave in impactful messages like the importance of family bonds, cultural diversity and respect for nature, which includes films like Wreck-It Ralph (2012), Frozen (2013), Big Hero 6 (2014) and Moana (2016).
Also in this section is and exclusive peek at never before seen artworks from the yet to be released Frozen 2!

Apart from cute figure collectibles and homeware sets, there are also Disney themed T-shirts for you to wear your Disney spirit loud and proud!
