There's nothing better than seeing our dogs happy, and as pet parents, we always just want the best for them. Caring for our dogs means giving them their well-deserved playtime and taking them to places where they can enjoy and relax, and meet other dog friends, too!

To make things easier, we made a list of the best dog beaches around Sydney where your dog can run off leash, so that you and your best furry friend can both enjoy.

1. Rowland Reserve, Bayview

Your dog's surely gonna love this one- and it's quite the popular spot for doggos too! It has a grassy area where you can chill, a sand spit, and a huge space for swimming and meeting other dogs, too. Another bonus? It's a 24/7 off leash dog park, too. Sounds like a plan!

2. Manly Lagoon, Queenscliff

After a surf sesh at Manly beach, why not take your furry friend for a swim at Manly Lagoon? You just won't be able to join your pet for a swim, but your pooch will be in for a treat. There's a lot of open space for outdoor exercises too!

3. Sandy Bay, Clontarf

This one's a favourite picnic spot for families because it has a barbecue area, tables, and a playground for kids- it's a perfect spot for some family fun- including dogs! Just note that dogs have to be on-leash all the time, and can be in the resererve between 10am and 6pm daily.

4. Horderns Beach, Bundeena

If you've got a bit of free time and don't mind taking a short ferry ride from Cronulla, Horderns Beach is a hidden gem you must visit! You and your dog can go for a swim in the clear waters and go chilling in fine sand afterwards. It's usually quiet too so you can enjoy a relaxing time.

5. Sirius Cove, Mosman

If you want to enjoy stunning views while taking your pup out to play, this is the perfect spot. It's popular for locals just soaking up the gorgeous view of the marina, but is also an all-time favourite for doggos, too!

Tip: Dogs can be off-leash all day on weekdays, but on weekends, dogs can only come before 9am and after 4pm.
