About Eco Hotels Philippines
Eco Hotel is a chain of accommodations that bridges the gap between comfort and sustainability. As a green service hotel, Eco Hotel strives to provide both excellent and sustainable services throughout all their properties - going beyond the typical eco-friendly practices. In addition to the sustainable considerations they’ve made to their hotels’ structures and layouts, they also continuously develop their energy management and have implemented waste and carbon emission reduction practices through recycling programs and using low-energy systems respectively.
The hotel chain also focuses on social responsibility by taking an active role in expanding awareness of going green by providing green jobs, sharing green values, and initiating green management.
Since its flagship property opened in 2015, the hotel chain managed to open more branches located in Boracay, Panglao, El Nido, Makati, and Batangas.
Cabins by Eco Hotels
This affordable and pet-friendly hotel is Eco Hotel’s first branch and is conveniently located across the Ayala Serin Mall in Aguinaldo Highway. What started as a socio-civic project to give back to the local community in 2015 is now a thriving eco-friendly accommodation beloved by both tourists and locals alike. What makes Cabins unique is that much of its structure is made out of recyclables - homemade bricks and sustainable wood for the facade and sustainable pinewood for the beds in all 16 of its rooms.
Relax in cozy rooms with a view
Cabins by Eco Hotels in Tagaytay offers guests a unique staycation experience in any one of their 16 rooms, said to be inspired by cruise ship cabins. Though much of the interior and furnishings are made of upcycled and repurposed materials, the overall eco-chic design will have Instagram fiends snapping away!
Biophilic design principles were also applied by identifying the natural airflow and lighting to bring nature into the interiors. Solar power is used throughout the hotel as well, and rainwater catchment is the source of water used for cleaning and landscaping. To top it off, all the artworks you'll see around the hotel showcase the works of Filipino artists too!
The Standard, Garden View, and Lake View rooms are all suitable for 2 guests and are fitted with a queen sized bed, flat screen TV for entertainment, air conditioning and an en suite toilet and shower with heater. What makes each room different is the view, with the Garden View providing a direct view into the property’s home-grown garden, the Lake View room offers a panoramic display of Taal Lake.
The Family Room on the other hand is a spacious accommodation for bigger groups of up to 4 persons. It comes with a queen size bed for two, and a single bed and a trundle for the third or fourth person. Guests can also enjoy a view of the herb garden from this room, too!
Lounge in Cabins by Eco Hotel’s chic spaces
When you get to the hotel, you will be greeted by the cutest front desk receptionist named Blue, the Cabin's resident pet! Board games and co-working areas are also available for guests to aid your work or play activities.
At the roof deck, guests will find an in-house restaurant called Chinampa Taqueria where guests can enjoy good Mexican food and drinks with a scenic view of Taal.

Containers by Eco Hotels
Sustainable, chic and unique are some words we would use to describe Containers by Eco Hotels in Tagaytay. As the name suggests, the hotel utilizes container vans for many of its features in addition to the recycled materials used to design their lobby, common areas and guest rooms. Catering to all kinds of guests, Containers is a pet-friendly and PWD-accessible hotel situated along SVD Road, Barangay San Jose.
Cool and cozy accommodations
The developers saw the opportunity to create a hotel out of containers, as it is vastly available, considerably cheaper and more durable than the traditional brick and mortar buildings. To make this happen, they installed proper wall and ceiling insulation, a concrete roof deck at the top floor, passive cooling, and cross ventilation with the option for air conditioning rooms.
There are two types of rooms guests can choose from in the 30-room hotel. The Queen Room is good for 2 persons, and offers a view from the glass window. Its furnishings include a queen size bed, flat screen TV, air conditioning, and an en suite toilet and a hot and cold shower.
On the other hand, if you’re traveling in a group, the Family Room can accommodate up to 6 guests with a queen sized bed and a two-bed bunk bed. It is also equipped with a flat screen TV, air conditioning, an en suite toilet and hot and cold shower.
Chill and get creative at the hotel's cool amenities
At the top floor, guests will find a restaurant called Camping and Grilling, which offers one of the best-tasting barbecues in the city, crowd-favorite Filipino dishes, and some bar drinks. The spacious roof deck has an activity and playground area for kids and pets and an eco glamping activity for those who’d like to sleep under the stars!
Located on the second floor of the hotel is the newly opened ECO SCRAP SHOP where guests will find a new program offered by Eco Hotels, “Where Eco Minds Create”. In this workshop, guests can channel their creative side and build a variety of items from scraps. The hotel also offers event spaces for meetings and conferences, as they have a function room on the ground floor that can accommodate up to 60 pax.
