Where is Eureka Skydeck?
Located in the heart of Melbourne, Eureka Skydeck stands tall above the city, with 360-degree panoramic views of the streets below. It’s a very hard building to miss!
How Much It Costs
There are several different packages to purchase for entrance to the Skydeck. For standard entry, the price is just $19 AUD.
You can also purchase the Skydeck entry plus the Edge Experience. The Edge Experience is where you get to walk in an outside caged area with a glass floor. This experience will cost $29.60 AUD.
What To Expect
Upon entry, you’ll go through security before taking the lift that will shoot you up at 9 meters per second to the 88th floor.
These are the fastest lifts in the southern hemisphere. You’ll leave the lift and be greeted with 360 degree, panoramic views of Melbourne City below. You’ll be able to take the walk around, marveling at the sights and reading the signs which inform you of the surrounding buildings.

- Opened on the 11th of October 2006 after taking 4 years and 2 months to build and contains 3,680 stairs.
- Construction cost around $500 million AUD.
- Height is 297.3 m (975 ft) making it the highest public vantage point in the Southern Hemisphere.
- The glass on the top 10 floors is 24-carat gold plated and the tower consists of 110,000 tonnes of concrete and weighs 200,000 tonnes.
