Kid-Friendly Restaurants In Kuala Lumpur & Petaling Jaya

1. Marmalade

In a well-lit, cosy corner of the Bangsar Village 2 shopping mall is Marmalade, a cafe popular to those who frequent the suburb, especially families. This gorgeous cafe has become a go-to spot due to its yummy, yet healthy menu.

You can rest assured that your children will enjoy the kids' choices here, such as fish fingers, mac and cheese, or even a colourful smoothie bowl! A spacious play area is also set up to keep your kids entertained while waiting for their meal.

2. Upperhouse Kitchen & Dessert Bar

Another family-friendly spot hidden in Bangsar is the Upperhouse Kitchen & Dessert Bar, a cafe that specialises in made-to-order desserts and scrumptious meals. Both parents and children will enjoy their stunning plated desserts - these sweet treats are creatively crafted and plated, with exciting flavours and textures coming together.

The cafe itself is spacious and vibrant, with very friendly staff, making anyone feel welcome and comfortable during their visit here. Little ones will also jump with glee as the cafe comes with a kids’ play area filled with colourful toys and things to do.

3. Beauty In The Pot

Calling all hot pot lovers! If you’re looking for a kid-friendly option, Beauty In The Pot is definitely high on our list. Eat to your heart’s content in their bright, pink outlets, made even better with their attentive service and must-try soup bases (we recommend their Signature Beauty Collagen Broth!).

Both of their outlets at The Gardens and SkyAvenue Genting include an exciting mini playground area for young customers to enjoy. You can also book their private rooms if you’d prefer dining with your family in your own space!

4. Yellow Brick Road

Located in Plaza Batai, Yellow Brick Road is a charming cafe dotted with references to the beloved Land of Oz. This spot is no stranger to local cafe-hoppers, with its wide range of brunch options, including ones that your kids would love!

Have a sweet tooth? We’d recommend treating your family with their range of savoury and sweet pancakes. Children can also head upstairs to their lovely kids’ corner, complete with building blocks and books to keep them entertained.

5. Antipodean

Antipodean is a well-known and loved cafe outlet, with branches all over the Klang Valley. Every outlet, except the Midvalley one, has a dedicated play area for your kids to hang out at, with toys and a television that plays cartoons.

Here, their many brunch menu items are scribbled on a large blackboard, ready for you to take your pick. From their signature all-day breakfast, to their delectable French toast, your family will surely leave with your bellies full and your hearts happy.

RGB & The Bean Hive is a boutique coffee micro-roastery nestled in the heart of KL. Located in a bungalow, the cafe offers a lush outdoor garden and homely interiors, with plenty of space for children to run around.

They don’t just serve coffee here (which you should definitely try!) - be spoilt for choice with their tempting Asian or Western dishes, many that are healthy and vegan-friendly as well!
