Farmer’s Table Tagaytay is a fantastic dining experience where you can eat, drink and be healthy. This alfresco restaurant in Tagaytay offers farm-to-table dishes brought to you by the folks of Raintree Hospitality and highlights vegetarian and vegan-friendly options. If the names ring a bell, it’s probably because you’ve heard of their other restaurants such as Friends & Family and Izakaya Sensu in Taguig.
The design of this restaurant in Tagaytay is open and rustic, which creates a homey atmosphere, while the lush greenery helps you be at one with nature. With a flair for seafood and vegetables served with fresh ingredients straight from their garden, Farmer’s Table Tagaytay is a place where you don’t just eat together with your family and friends – you come here to fuel your body.
1. Kale Chips & Dip (P250)
Farmer’s Table Tagaytay takes pride in its kale as it’s grown in their garden and is highly nutritious. Needless to say, you’ve got to try their crispy kale chips with a special dip of malunggay-pesto basil mayonnaise. You’ll also want to get a taste of the Kamote Fries & Pecorino (P150) that’s good for sharing.
2. Signature Pineapple and Kale Smoothie (P195/P695)
The kale here is so good that they’ve also added it into one of their smoothies. The signature pineapple and kale smoothie is a refreshing delight that’s chock-full of vitamins and has a minty kick. Have a single glass or order a pitcher for the whole table.
3. Famous Ube Champorado (P220)
Make it in time for brunch and order Farmer’s Table Tagaytay’s renowned Ube Champorado. The staple Filipino breakfast dish is topped with fried danggit and is the right balance of something sweet and salty to start your day. Pair it with the Ube Langka Milk Tea and get served an overload of purple!
4. Spicy Coconut Laing (P320)
Laing is a traditional Filipino comfort meal that’s made of taro leaves cooked in thick coconut milk, fragrant herbs, and shrimp paste. At Farmer’s Table Tagaytay, this creamy dish is beautifully plated in a coconut shell for added presentation.
5. Bone Marrow Bulalo (P995)
Everyone comes to Tagaytay in search of the best-tasting bulalo and Farmer’s Table Tagaytay’s bone marrow bulalo is a top contender. They attempt to make it somewhat healthier by skimming the fat from the broth and balancing the big piece of bone marrow with heaps of fresh vegetables. Regardless of the weather, a bowl of this deliciousness is always heartening.
6. Hothouse Crispy Cauliflower & Broccoli (P275)
If you’re a fan of chicken poppers, this is a great plant-based alternative. At first glance, you’d think the cauliflower and broccoli florets were pieces of coated chicken coated in spicy buffalo sauce. Dip it in bleu cheese and you’ll be amazed by the bite and flavor this vegetarian dish provides.
7. House-made Grilled Plant-Based Burger (P495)
Also referred to as the P.B.B. at Farmer’s Table Tagaytay, the plant-based burger is a healthier version of the classic American comfort food. They use a tangy Mediterranean spiced garlic dill yogurt that complements the fresh ingredients and the tofu-mushroom patty. However, meat lovers can still avail their Char-Grilled U.S. Beef Cheeseburger that’s still loaded with veggies.
8. Tagaytay Stone-Fired Pizza (P475)
Farmer’s Table Tagaytay serves stone-fired pizzas ideal for sharing. Their Tagaytay specialty has a thin and crisp crust and is topped with decadent ingredients. It’s got smoked fish, sauteed kale, malunggay basil pesto, caramelized onions, gorgonzola, and candied walnuts for that extra bite.
9. Famous Kalderetang “Osso Bucco” (P495)
Chef Kalel Chan elevates the Filipino-favorite kaldereta by making it “Osso Bucco” style. Beef shanks are slowly braised in a rich sauce and fresh vegetables from the garden are added to make it even heartier. The fried potatoes and Malagos Pecorino give the dish even more depth.
10. Mango Suman “Sushi” (P295)
What caught our eye on the menu for dessert was the Mango Suman “Sushi.” This restaurant in Tagaytay rolls the tropical fruit in sticky rice and toasted sesame seeds a la suman and is served with native hot chocolate. We don’t think we could ask for anything more heavenly!
The next time you’re planning to take an out-of-town trip near Metro Manila, consider this restaurant in Tagaytay. Savor tasty meals and drinks that you can enjoy al fresco with lush greenery as your view.
