Attractions at Gardens by the Bay
In the midst of the outdoor gardens lies the two most popular attractions of Gardens by the Bay — the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest. Filled with dozens of different environments and species of flora from all over the world, these two glass conservatories are kept at a cool 23 to 25 degrees Celsius — an oasis in balmy Singapore.
Fun fact: Both the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest are the world’s largest columnless greenhouses! Talk about architectural wonders.
Flower Dome
Whether or not you’re obsessed with blooms and bouquets, the Flower Dome is sure to amaze. With nine different gardens showcasing plants from five continents, the terrain changes as you stroll through the gardens.
Do look out for the changing flower displays at the entrance and around the different gardens as well. Currently, the Dahlia Dreams display features a field of about 1,400 pretty dahlias of mixed varieties, all grown in-house for the very first time by their very own horticulturists alongside a host of Lunar New Year floral favourites such as azaleas, chrysanthemums and cymbidiums.
Keep an eye out for the Pocket Gardens Surprises tucked around the Flower Dome. These changing mini-garden displays are switched around the Flower Dome every fortnight. Head to the Flower Field to see the current Pocket Garden Surprise — the Edible Garden!
Cloud Forest
You’ll be greeted by the roar of the waterfall as you step out into the fine mist that envelops the ground floor of the Cloud Forest. This indoor waterfall stands at 35 meters high, and starts all the way at the top of the Cloud Forest — where your journey begins.
You’ll gradually work your way down the levels, encountering various tropical highland plant species along the way as you pass through the nine zones.
Don’t miss the venus flytraps in the carnivorous plants section!
Find some gorgeous photo ops as you journey through the Cloud Forest. The Waterfall View provides a stunning view of the plants and water features — the cooling spray only adds to the ambience.
The Secret Garden is another underrated place for photos and beautiful views. Take your time to appreciate the tiny plants and water features that dot this area.
For an even more magical photo op, be sure to head to the Cloud Forest a couple of minutes before misting time (which happens every hour). Talk about #wanderlustvibes
Avatar: The Experience
From 28 October 2022 onwards, the Cloud Forest will be transformed into Avatar: The Experience, allowing guests to explore the world of Pandora!
You will get to explore Pandora's bioluminescent environments, engage with its mystical creatures and flora, and immerse in the captivating culture of its indigenous people, the Na’vi.
There's also the chance to get up close and personal with a life-size animatronic banshee as well as get an exclusive first look at an artistic sculpt representation of the new marine Ilu creature from the upcoming film Avatar: The Way of Water. How exciting is that?
📆 28 October 2022 to 31 March 2023
Supertree Grove
Perhaps the most prominent part of Gardens by the Bay from afar is the cluster of 12 Supertrees in the Supertree Grove. Measuring between 25 and 50 metres tall, the tallest Supertree here stands at 16 storeys high. Their canopies provide shade to visitors in the day, and play a key role in the Garden Rhapsody light show come nightfall.
OCBC Skyway
Get up close to the Supertrees on the OCBC Skyway — a 128-meter aerial walkway that connects two Supertrees. From up above, here is where you’ll get a totally different view of the Gardens and the Bay area.
Supertree Observatory
Reopened just in time on December 1st, the Supertree Observatory grants visitors amazing views of the rest of the Gardens and the Marina Bay area. Soak in the skyline views from the top of the tallest Supertree from the open-air rooftop deck.
Floral Fantasy
Having finally reopened in the last week of November, Gardens by the Bay’s Floral Fantasy is not to be missed. Divided into four gorgeous landscapes — Dance, Waltz, Drift, Float — Floral Fantasy is a collision of flora, art and technology that creates a fantastical experience for visitors.
Gardens by the Bay Lightshow
Come nightfall, the gardens are transformed into a spectacular display of lights and sound in the Garden Rhapsody. Best part: it’s free for all!
Returning with 2 daily shows at 7.45pm and 8.45pm, keep your eyes peeled and ears tuned in for exciting line ups that you can find out more about here.
