Genting Skyworlds Theme Park Set To Open On 8 February 2022!

After multiple opening delays, Genting Malaysia Bhd (GENM) announced that they are targeting to open their brand-new outdoor theme park real soon. Its new name - Genting SkyWorlds was also revealed earlier this year. Although it will no longer carry the "20th Century Fox" name, Genting SkyWorlds will still feature attractions from 20th Century Fox movies, as well as other international class movie-themed attractions.

The construction works at Genting Skyworlds were put on a temporary halt when the Movement Control Order was implemented nationwide in 2020, but has since resumed and is progressing smoothly.

Malaysians who grew up loving the nostalgic old Genting Highlands Outdoor Theme Park have been looking forward to the brand-new Genting Skyworlds since it was revealed to the world. With Genting Skyworlds in the final stages of construction, we're thankful to have stumbled on some sneak peek shots of the theme park as shared by @greg_pearn on Instagram.

The highly-anticipated Genting Skyworlds will be home to 9 uniquely themed worlds and spans across 26 acres, with 26 rides and attractions suitable for people of all ages - there'll also be ample dining establishments, retail outlets, as well as shows and live entertainment to keep you engaged throughout your time here. How much are the tickets to enter Genting Skyworlds? The theme park tickets are divided into two categories, and toddlers under 90cm get to enter for free! Besides that, the first guests will get to enjoy an extra 20% off with their soft opening rate available from 8 February - 31 March 2022.

With interstate travel restrictions now lifted for fully vaccinated Malaysians, a trip up to chilly Genting is now possible for those who have been missing Malaysia's City of Entertainment. A comprehensive safety plan has been put in place to ensure the safety of all guests, so if you're itching for a chilly outing, pack your masks and sanitizers and head on up for some cool breeze!
