5 Island Adventures to Enjoy When in Southern Thailand

Instead of trying to tour every single island, you should choose one or two tours according to your interests and time frame. If you only have a few days in Southern Thailand, it's best to focus on an adventure that matches the length of your trip. If you're interested in snorkeling, definitely include at least one island with great beaches where you can explore underwater life!

The Phi Phi Islands are among the most beautiful islands in Thailand.  The tours to Phi Phi take you between 2 and 3 days, which is very short compared to other island tours in Thailand.  So if you plan on seeing multiple islands, we recommend using one of your days to see another tour as well (like Phang Nga Bay or Phuket).

Some overnight Phi Phi Tour includes accommodations at Ton Sai Bay which is the main hub for nightlife and shopping. You can enjoy amazing views by climbing up Khao Phing Kan (the hill) early in the morning - but make sure you wake up!  

Coral Island is known for its amazing coral reefs, but it's also a great place to snorkel and meet other people on your Phuket tours. The Similan Islands are closer than the Phi Phi Islands so they are a perfect alternative for anyone who doesn't have enough time to travel to the Andaman Sea. 

If you only have 1 day in Thailand, go for Phuket Town tours. It will take you around 4 hours to see everything, which means there won't be much time to shop or eat, but Phuket tours will still be very enjoyable if you're interested in Thai culture and history .
