Putrajaya... got things to do there meh?
Located a 40-minute drive south of bustling Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya may not be at the top of your mind when it comes to weekend hangout spots, but did you know that there's more to do here than you think?
Filled with charming parks, lakes and communal gardens, Putrajaya offers plenty of green space for picnics, cycling, lake cruises, nature walks, and even fun activities like flyboarding, horse riding, and rock climbing. ✨ All that aside, the recent opening of an exciting new secret garden may give you more reason to plan a visit to Putrajaya!
How 'bout a romantic date at the new Putrajaya Secret Garden?
Captioned "ingatkan dekat luar negara, rupanya dalam Malaysia", a Twitter post by @JalanCutiSantai got Malaysians buzzing about a stunning Putrajaya Secret Garden that looks straight out of a scene of Avatar (in case you didn't know, Avatar 2 is coming our way this year end, just saying 😉✨).
A few days after the post, the Putrajaya Secret Garden finally opened its doors to the public, adding colour and liveliness to the nightscape of Putrajaya with its striking array of lights draped over trees, bushes, and pillars. You can stroll through romantically-lit pathways hand-in-hand with your loved ones as the night turns dark, and snap lovely photos along the way at the many Instagrammable corners of the garden.
Best part about the Putrajaya Secret Garden? You won't need to pay a single cent to enter - even parking is free! We also heard that it's stroller and wheelchair-friendly, making it great for outings with people of all ages, old or young ✨ You'll probably see lots of couples and young families (with children on bicycles!) while you're here.
Special tips if you're planning a visit to the Putrajaya Secret Garden
- There's no specific opening time for the garden, so just head over in the evening - the lights come on around 7pm when it starts to get dark.
- Those who've been here advise others to bring along some bottled water and snacks if you're planning to stay long, as there are no food or drink stalls in the vicinity.
- Walk along the path to see all that the Secret Garden has to offer! There's a fountain and even sprawling views of the Putrajaya skyline at the back. ✨
- If you'd like to have dinner in Putrajaya, you can enjoy a buffet dinner at Le Meridien Putrajaya, located just 10 minutes away from the Secret Garden. Enjoy an extra 20% off when you book your buffet vouchers on Klook!
- Alternatively, the Putrajaya IOI City Mall is also a 10-minute drive away. If you'd like to kill time before it gets dark (besides getting dinner here), you can also check out District 21 or Icescape (ice skating rink!) for some fun time before heading to the garden. Both of them are located in the mall. ⛸
- Putrajaya Secret Garden Address: in front of Hotel Pulse Grande, Taman Putra Perdana, Presint 1 Putrajaya (waze your way to Hotel Pulse Grande).
