Visit around sunset or even after nightfall to watch the city lights come to life. Do note that the temperature at the top of the hill is 5 - 10 degrees colder than in the city, so be sure to pack a jacket if you're afraid of the cold.
While you're at Penang Hill, check out The Habitat Penang Hill and enjoy an impressive 360-degree panoramic view of Penang Island as well as the beauty of Penang's 130-million-year-old rainforest. Take a thrilling and refreshing walk on the 230m Langur Way Canopy Walk here!
2. Unique Starbucks Stores In Penang
Penang is home to a handful of unique Starbucks stores, including a funky one along Batu Ferringhi where you can dip your toes in warm sand while sipping on an iced latte, and one nestled in a charming heritage building. Pop by for a cup of morning coffee before starting your full-day exploration!

8. Kampung Agong
If you think Penang is all about that city life, we're here to change your mind! We've recently discovered a hidden gem in Penang that will transport you to a timeless kampung that looks straight out of a postcard from Bali.
Located in mainland Penang just 14 kilometres (a 20-minute drive) from Butterworth jetty terminal, Kampung Agong is a picturesque space surrounded by swaying coconut trees and traditional wooden kampung houses built on stilts.

9. Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion
Penang's iconic Blue Mansion is an architectural and historical wonder, with a genuine old-school charm that's hard to resist. This indigo-blue mansion is a unique blend of Eastern and Western design elements, which makes it stand out from the rest of the buildings along the street. The iconic building was featured in films like Crazy Rich Asians, Indochine, and more! You can even book a stay in this beautiful building on Klook here.
10. Chew Jetty
The Chew Jetty is a testament and a reminder of Penang’s history on Chinese immigration. Walk along the wooden floorboards and have a glimpse into the life of the locals that are still living on wooden houses on stilts above water.
Do be mindful that people still live in these houses, so be respectful and keep your voices down while you explore the area. We heard the sunsets here are breathtaking - you can also consider chasing the golden glow at the less-crowded Lim Jetty or Tan Jetty for a more peaceful vibe.
