With all that being said, we can definitely all agree that these are must-do activities to help us cool down from the heat. Phuket is well-known for its many beautiful beaches. But if you’re not a beach person, there are also several water parks for you to explore! We’ve curated a list of six water parks to help you beat the heat:
- Andamanda Phuket Waterpark
- Blue Tree Water Park
- Splash Jungle Waterpark
- Phuket Orchid Resort and Spa
- Surf House Phuket - Kata Beach
- Rawai VIP Villas and Kids' Park
Andamanda Phuket Waterpark
Located in the Kathu District near Phuket Town, Andamanda Phuket is the largest and newest waterpark that accurately captures the essence of Phuket’s appeal to different personalities. Expect all kinds of water slides, fun playgrounds, and even a wave pool that carries you to the Great Andaman Bay.
This waterpark prides itself on being Thai heritage-themed. Like the intricately designed Pearl Palace, all the zones are uniquely Thai, and you can expect to see this well-designed architecture everywhere.
Take a break from all the action and check out Coral World to witness the region’s diverse marine life in this breathtaking aquarium within the waterpark. You can even relax by the swim-up bars and spend just as much time enjoying local Thai cuisine in the floating restaurant with beautiful views of Siray Bay.
Blue Tree Water Park
Looking for a waterpark that brings on the heat but also cools you down? Second to Andamanda Phuket, Blue Tree Water Park is the next biggest waterpark in Phuket.
Likened to a water-themed extreme sports ground, you can zipline, paddleboard, and rock climb on top of riding different kinds of water slides. In fact, there are quadruple ‘slip n fly’ slides that will toss you 30 metres in the air before you make a big splash!
Besides all these exciting activities, there are also numerous water slides kids can enjoy. And when you get hungry from all those activities, there are five different restaurants for you to choose from!
Splash Jungle Waterpark
Travel all around the world without leaving Phuket at Splash Jungle Waterpark, which has six different geographical themes to make things more exciting! Start from the ancient Incas, take a water slide to see all of Asia, swim to Africa, and let the waves carry you to Europe.
There are levels to the thrill in this waterpark. Heart-racing rides include the Boomerang slide, which throws you up a steep wall to land in a free fall, and the Superbowl slide, which spins you around on rafts until you dive into a dark pipe. There’s a six-level wave pool as well! For more relaxing spots, wade around the lazy river or unwind in the spring pool. Kids would love the aqua-play area.
Phuket Orchid Resort and Spa
Planning to spend most of your days in a waterpark? It may be more strategic to check in a resort that already has one.
You’ll know you’re in Phuket Orchid Resort and Spa when you see The Giant Slippery Slide that snakes through the entire waterpark. There are tons of other fun slides scattered across three different pools. Even the kid’s pool has its own water slides so that children can have their own kid-friendly fun!
Surf House Phuket - Kata Beach
Ever heard of indoor surfing? Surf House Phuket is one of the most unique waterparks you may ever come across.
Located by Kata Beach, it’s a good option for first-time surfers who want to learn the ropes of the sport. The friendly staff would be more than happy to assist! You can get on the Double Flowrider, where kids and adults can surf safely for as long as they want.
Plus points, you can dine at their bar and bistro that serves award-winning food.
Rawai VIP Villas and Kids' Park
Here’s another kid-friendly waterpark the entire family would love. Rawai VIP Villas and Kids’ Park is one of the largest kids’ waterparks in Phuket, with four large areas. Unlike most, there are both indoor and outdoor spots to play in.
Step into a huge water playground with waterslides, fun sprayers, and towers you can climb. They even hold contests every weekend with fun prizes for kids!
A trip to a waterpark is a great idea for adventure-seekers, culture fanatics, and chill personalities to set aside their differences. United by the need to cool down from the heat, it’s a nice way for kids and adults to come together.
With water slides, all kinds of pools, cool structures, and more, no preference is left out! If you plan to fly to Thailand, spend your days in Phuket and visit a water park at least once!
