1. Dong Fa Hao Oyster Vermicelli (百年老店東發號蚵仔麵線)
Tucked away in an alley in Raohe Night Market lies a century-old shop called Dong Fa Hao that's been in business for more than 80 years, and they only sell three items: vermicelli, meat soup, and Taiwanese sticky rice!
The shop is located next to the Land God Temple in Raohe Night Market, and although it only sells three items, it's always packed with people. The meat soup and vermicelli have a clear broth that's thickend with starch, resulting in a slightly sweet taste. If you prefer a stronger flavor, we recommend adding some chili and black vinegar.
#KlookTip: We really recommend their Taiwanese sticky rice which has a traditional sesame oil fragrance! And it tastes even better when served with some sweet and spicy sauce on top.

- Business hours: 8.30am - 12am
2. Ming Peng Xia Gang Stinky Toufu (名彭下港臭豆腐)
A must-try at Raohe Night Market is the famous stinky tofu from Ming Peng Xia Gang! Many will recommend trying the crispy stinky tofu, mixed pancakes, and mala duck blood, but we recommend trying the stinky tofu first! The outer layer of the stinky tofu is fried to a perfect crisp, but the inside remains very tender and juicy. It goes really well with Taiwanese-style pickled cabbage!
#KlookTip: This place is always crowded, so be prepared to queue up during weekends!

3. Fuzhou Shizu Pepper Cake (福州世祖胡椒餅) | Michelin Bib Gourmand Recommended
Recommended by the Michelin Bib Gourmand, Fuzhou Shizu Pepper Cake is located right at the entrance of Raohe Night Market, and even before getting to see the shop, you would have already caught a whif of the pepper cake's fragrant aroma and seen the constant line of people queuing up!
The round pepper cakes are sprinkled with sesame seeds and have a slightly charred flavor. When you take a bite, the filling is full and juicy, and the meat juice has a hint of pepper aroma, making you feel really happy after eating it

Apart from the famous pepper cakes, another highly recommended stall at Raohe Night Market that has been awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand for 4 years in a row is Chen Tung Medicinal Herb Stewed Pork Ribs.
Although there are many stalls selling medicinal herb stewed pork ribs, the quality of the meat at Chen Tung is sweeter and more delicious. The soup is made by simmering pork ribs and Chinese herbs, resulting in a rich and warm amber-colored broth!
#KlookTip: Try their medicinal herb stewed lamb that's also very tasty without any gamey taste

6. Red braised beef noodle & offal soup" (紅燒牛肉麵、牛雜湯) | Michelin Bib Gourmand Recommended
With no name but only a cartoon cow logo on a yellow sign, this red braised beef noodle soup stall has been recommended by the Michelin Bib Gourmand for two consecutive years and is also a must-try in Raohe night market!
While this signature beef noodle soup uses the tender and expensive beef shank, a bowl of noodles with plenty of large beef shank pieces costs only a little over NT$100 (~$4.30), making a meal here very economical and affordable.
The beef offal soup is also highly recommended by many people, with every piece being soft and chewy and served in large portions. However, we must warn you that the spice levels here are over the roof!

7. Golden Award Dongshan Duck Head (金賞東山鴨頭)
The duck head is first stewed in maltose, Chinese herbs, and soy sauce, and then fried to a crispy texture. Although everything looks dark, don't judge a book by its cover as the taste is actually salty and sweet, and very addictive.
Golden Award Dongshan Duck Head is a long-established brand on Raohe Street and we recommend trying the seaweed, pig's blood cake, fried quail eggs, and tian bu la (甜不辣). Did we also mention that after ordering, your food will be fried again to enhance the taste and texture!

8. Fukushima Yaki (福島屋圓圓燒)
Owned by a Japanese and also being highly raved about online, Fukushima Yaki is another popular stall in Raohe Night Market that you need to visit. It looks a bit like a circular version of Okonomiyaki, with a round iron plate filled with batter, lots of cabbage, bacon, squid, shrimp, cheese balls, and topped with an egg.
Before serving, mayonnaise and dried bonito flakes are sprinkled on, resulting in an entertaining dance due to the heat of the dish. With one bite, you can taste every single ingredient working in harmony. just be careful not to burn your mouth!

Mr. Shi's Spicy Tofu is famous within Raohe Night Market, and they even have a Michelin Bib Gourmand recommendation too! The menu is numbered, making it easy for customers to order by giving the number of the dish they want.
Each dish has four levels of spiciness to choose from and we recommend trying the stinky tofu, duck blood, pig's intestine soup, and fried stinky tofu.
The stinky tofu at Shi Boss is very thick and fluffy, and has a great texture without being too dry. The spicy duck blood is also large, fresh and tender, with a hint of traditional Chinese medicine flavour in the broth.
#KlookTip: It's free to add soup to your dish!

After finishing the Tangyuan, you can also drizzle the prepared osmanthus honey and lemon juice on top, which turns the disht into a refreshing osmanthus honey ice dessert. It's sour and sweet, and it's a must-have for summer!

If you're looking for a savoury and heartwarming meal, Yang Crispy Pork Bone Noodles at Raohe Night Market is just the dish for you, with a very sweet and rich broth that is not too oily!
The best thing about the crispy pork bone is that it has cartilage inside, so when you bite into it, you can enjoy the dual texture of meat and cartilage. Each piece of crispy pork bone is well-marinated, and the noodles are yellow oil noodles, topped up with the slightly sweet broth and braised egg, it makes for a perfect meal!

The layers are distinct, crunchy and refreshing, with a rich aroma of egg crepe. We recommend adding a little soy sauce and chilli oil to enhance the flavour and make the pancake even more delicious!
