What is the Eurail Pass?
It’s an easy, fast, and affordable way of getting around Europe with just one single pass. For a set period of time, ranging from four days to two months, you can take as many trips as you need or want to without having to purchase several tickets or breaking the bank. The Eurail Pass covers 33 countries in Europe, including France, Germany, Greece, and Spain. Read all about the other included countries and other benefits to using this pass in our complete guide on the Eurail Global Pass.
Although the Eurail Pass makes travelling much more convenient, those unfamiliar with European train tickets might have some questions, which we’ll be answering with all the important details.
Where is my Eurail Pass number located on the mobile voucher?
Pass cover numbers are only issued with paper passes. This should be located along with the travel diary. For mobile pass holders, your pass numbers can be found in your confirmation e-mail and on the rail planner app.
How do I know which train carriage I’m on?
Although tickets will differ, in terms of language and look, your tickets will generally have the train number, carriage or wagon number, and seat number clearly printed. Before boarding a carriage, it’s important to check if your ticket and the number printed on the carriage itself match. Next to the carriage door, you’ll also find the range of seat numbers nearest to that entrance, so make sure you take note of both of these details before boarding the train.
How do I know which seat I'm on?
On the ticket, the seat number is usually found next to the carriage number. Don’t forget to check the seat numbers by your carriage door before getting on to make finding your seat much easier. Once you’re on the train, seat numbers can be found above the seats on the luggage rack, or on the side of the headrest.
Make sure you’ve got the right tickets and seats according to your budget, comfort, and travel plans. Find out the different types of Eurail passes available on Klook.
