When is Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood opening?
This is not a drill - Nintendo has just confirmed that Super Nintendo World will officially open at Universal Studios Hollywood in California on February 17, 2023.
Nintendo fans will get a chance to live out the world of Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Toad, and Yoshi IRL! Yiiiiiipeee!
Where is the new Super Nintendo World?
Super Nintendo World will be a themed section inside Universal Studios Hollywood in California, USA.
Universal Studios Hollywood will start selling exclusive apparel and collectibles at the Feature Presentation store in the park soon to gear up for the opening of Super Nintendo World.
What is Super Nintendo World?
Super Nintendo World is a theme park area featuring attractions, products, and themes mainly based on the Mario franchise. Visitors will have the chance to become part of a larger-than-life Nintendo universe.
Super Nintendo World was created in collaboration with Nintendo and the visionaries at Universal Creative in order to deliver exhilarating entertainment inspired by our favourite Nintendo characters like Yoshi, Mario, Bowser and Luigi, and video games that have captivated generations of Nintendo fans for over 40 years.
What rides will Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood have?
The star attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood's Super Nintendo World will be Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge. With a mix of augmented reality, "projection mapping technology" and moving track, it'll be the closest thing to stepping inside a Mario Kart video game.
Guests will wear AR headsets as they race through "familiar courses" in four-person vehicles, collecting coins and competing for the Golden Cup against Team Bowser. Each race will have a different outcome.
What other attractions will Super Nintendo World have?
Super Nintendo World will include interactive games and activities, as well as AR binoculars that will give the space a cool new dimension.
Get keys from Koopa Troopa and Goomba by collecting digital coins and completing challenges. Guests can purchase Power-Up wristbands that do things like keep track of scores and unlock extra-special interactions with Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach!
Will there be food inside Super Nintendo World?
Of course! The Toadstool Cafe will offer a variety of themed dishes such as Super Mushroom Soup, Piranha Plant Caprese, and Princess Peach Cupcakes for hungry guests. Fans of Super Mario can bring a piece of their experience home with them by shopping at the 1-Up Factory.
