Airport MRT: Taoyuan's Airport MRT is the fastest way to reach Taipei. In 38 minutes you'll arrive in the city centre via their standard service, while the express service takes just 35 minutes from Taoyuan Airport Terminal 1 to Taipei Main Station. A ticket costs around $160 New Taiwan Dollars (NT) and runs from 6:05 am until 11:35 pm, so make sure you plan your travel according to their opening hours! You can take the escalator south of B1 Food Court which leads to A12 Airport Terminal 1 Station. You can buy your ticket ahead of time on Klook to ensure a hassle-free trip.
Shared transfers: To get even more for your buck, shared transfers are a great way to save money and normally take you directly to your destination. Enjoy a cheap, comfortable and affordable trip from Taoyuan International Airport with Ubus – their shuttles come and go every 15 minutes, so you won't need to worry about waiting too long for the next one. After exiting arrivals you can redeem your transfer ticket purchased from Klook from one of four locations at the airport.
Shuttle buses: Shuttle buses are also available to travel to the Taipei 101 area. There are three buses to choose from: 1819, 1960 and the 1961. This is a great option if you've missed the Airport MRT because their services run until 1:05 am, with tickets costing between NT$90 and NT$145. Uber/Taxi: Travelling by taxi is the easiest but the most expensive option. Luckily for visitors, airport taxis can be found outside the arrival hall and are available 24/7. So if you're scheduled to arrive in the early hours, it's going to be the most reliable transport source – but the average ride will cost you around NT$1200. Besides the price, Taiwanese taxis are safe and the drivers are friendly!
