If this sounds good to you, then we highly recommend doing a hot air balloon flight in the Hunter!
2. SkyDive in Wollongong
If SkyDiving is still unticked on your bucket list, then now's the perfect time to do it! If you've missed adrenaline-rushing activities while we were in iso, this may be your perfect match. While you're at it, convince a friend- or two- to go with your and jump off a plane in Wollongong! That way, you can all share the nervous and excited energy and no one gets left behind.
3. See Whales in Jervis Bay
Jervis Bay is one of the best spots to do whale watching in Australia, and the Winter Whale Watching Cruise will give you a glimpse of the majestic humpback whales that visit Jervis Bay from May to November every year!
You'll go cruising past ancient sea caves and rugged cliffs- so have your camera ready at all times so you don’t miss the whales when they come to the surface to play!
4. Picnic and Wine Tasting Experience at Audrey Wilkinson Vineyard
There's a high chance you've seen these Audrey Wilkinson wine bottles in your local liquor store. Well now you can drink them with views of the vineyards they're from, paired with a picnic hamper filled with gourmet snacks, on a scenic 270-acre property! This ticket also gives you access to a master class and premium tasting at the winery! Vino me up!
5. SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium Shark Dive Xtreme Experience
While we can't travel to the Great Barrier reef just yet, or if don't have your diving license just yet, The SEA LIFE Shark Dive Xtreme could be a good option. This is your chance to come face-to-face with magnificent sharks and stingrays without having to leave Sydney! You'll be accompanied by seasoned professionals, too- so no need to worry or be scared!
6. Archie Rose Distillery Tour and Tasting
Archie Rose Distilling Co, with its on-site gin, vodka and whisky distillery is the first to open in Sydney for 160 years. Not only does it serve good liquor, the place's incredible ambiance - industry-cool, gleaming copper, barrel-wood furniture, along with its experimental science-lab features will definitely encourage you to have a go at mixing your own cocktails.
7. Beer Belly Half-Day Beer Tasting Experience in Hunter Valley
Get ready to sport a beer belly- this tasting experience will allow you to get to try the best Hunter Valley-made boutique beers, while hearing interesting insights about all this beer and brewing. Did we also mention that the tasting comes with heaps of cheese and antipasto? Sign us up, ASAP please!
8. Abseiling and Rock Climbing Katoomba
Outdoor enthusiasts out there, this one's for you. If you're new to rock climbing and want some guidance/support, this is the perfect intro! You'll start off your day with abseiling at a 5-meter high cliff, and later on move on to a 40-meter high cliff! Be prepared for lots of jumping, swinging and incredible views as a reward. You'll get to see places you won't get to see on your own - marvel at unknown and one-of-a-kind views of the Blue Mountains and Megalong Valley. If you're up for an adventure and you don't mind getting out of your comfort zone, we highly recommend this for you.
9. Sydney Harbour Kayaking
Sometimes being a tourist in your own city has its perks! We know that the Sydney Harbour is one of the best in the world- and this Kayaking experience is a great way to explore nearby islands and get unrivalled views of the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. Because let's admit it, no matter how many times you've seen them- you still can't deny they're incredible sights to see!
Bonus tip: Choose to either do a sunrise or sunset kayak for the best vibes!
10. Haunted Sydney Ghost Tour
Is that old Ouija board at home just not responsive any more? Maybe it's time to venture for the supernatural outside of the home because, like us, the ghosts are probably enjoying the new taste of freedom! The starting point of this tour is at The Rocks and your guide will take you to slums overrun with mass burial pits, sly grog haunts and opium dens - I don't know where these are hiding in Sydney, but I am more than curious to find out!
