Ready to Be a Wizard? Here Are Amazing Wizard Wand Experiences at Universal Studios Orlando

Still salty that you didn't get a Hogwarts letter when you were 11? Now here’s your chance to live out your wizarding dreams no matter how old you are! Just head over to Universal Studios Orlando and you’ll find the magical Wizarding World of Harry Potter. 

At the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, you can explore stunning replicas of well-known locations, such as Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. You also have the chance to pick (or be picked!) by your very own wand and try out spells across the park. Just remember: it's wingardium levi-OH-sa, not levioh-SA.

Where else can you get your wand than from the wand-making experts themselves? Universal Studios Orlando has not just one, but TWO Ollivanders stores—one in Diagon Alley and the other in Hogsmeade. 

There are different kinds of wands you can buy. There are 13 original designs to choose from, made from various types of wood. You can also buy Harry Potter character wands—perfect if you wanna take home a fantastic replica of your fave character's wand! 

Klook tip: Get an interactive wand (the ones with gold labels) for the ultimate wizarding experience inside Universal Studios Orlando. You can find these in Ollivanders and at Wands by Gregovitch in Diagon Alley. Interactive wands can also be reused at other Universal Studios parks!

Wanna see how a wand chooses its owner? See this magical experience for yourself during the Ollivanders Wand Show. This incredible wand selection show takes place at either Ollivanders location every 15 to 25 minutes. Here, the wandkeeper will randomly pick a witch or wizard and let them test different wands—until, of course, the perfect match comes. Then, you'll have the option to buy this wand, choose another, or not buy at all!

Klook tip: You have greater chances of getting picked if you stand in front of the room. If you can, burst out your DIY Hogwarts uniform so the wandkeeper will notice you!

With an interactive wand comes a map marked with gold medallions. These medallions symbolize different locations within the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, where you can cast spells as you swish and flick your wand. It may take a bit of trial-and-error before you get the hang of spell-casting, but when you do, it's definitely fun to see the tricks you can do with your own wand. 

Locations in Hogsmeade include Tomes and Scroll, Honeydukes, Zonko's Joke Shop, Madam Puddifoots, and more. There are also interactive spots in Diagon Alley. You can find them at the Magical Menagerie, Wiseacres Wizarding Equipment, the Mermaid Fountain, and Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes. 

Klook tip: There are hidden spells around the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! One is at the Scribbulus window, where you should wave your wand by the quill and parchment. Another is at Slug and Jiggers Apothecary, where you should look by the far right window.
