Hop on board a Vespa Sidecar and rediscover Singapore in style with one of the most fun tours in Singapore
Are you ready to be the center of attraction? Meet Simon and his band of Vespa riders who’ll be bringing you in what’s one of the most unique and fun tours in Singapore! It’s time for you to put on a vintage helmet, step into a cute Vespa Sidecar, and zoom around our sunny island for an experience like no other.
The Vespas are heritage pieces themselves
You’ll be exploring Singapore’s heritage on board a piece of heritage itself, as Simon Wong, the Co-Founder of Singapore Sidecars, shares with us. He says that some of the Vespas that you’ll be riding on during the tour are actually manufactured here in Singapore when there was once an Old Vespa Factory pre-independence in 1965.
But don’t worry, we have been assured by Simon that these Vespas have been lovingly cared for and maintained over the years to ensure they are in tip-top condition. And it felt perfectly safe as we rode in them down Esplanade Bridge, and even around the back alleys of Tiong Bahru.
The Vespas may not look big, but we had a gentleman among our group who was 1.9m tall and he still could fit quite comfortably into the sidecar. Each sidecar can only take one passenger and they recommend it for only aged 10+ and preferably not more than 110kg.
Perfect for special occasions
Besides being a romantic thing to do with bae for the evening or the weekend, Simon shares that they have seen people from all walks of life hopping on board for a tour. In one of the more memorable ones in recent times, an entire family turned up in the Vespa Sidecars to surprise the granddad for his birthday! That’s sure one memorable birthday we say!
Having rode in one and stopping at iconic landmarks around Singapore, the appeal is definitely there. We were even joking that what a romantic sight it must be to ride down Orchard Road in the evenings once the Christmas lights are up. Simon was quick to oblige and say that could certainly be arranged.
“Booked this for my birthday celebration and it was definitely the highlight of the day. Guides were friendly and shared with us interesting bits of Singapore as we toured. There were also many photo opportunities as they brought us to nice photo spots. Both my husband and I certainly enjoyed our rides. This is an activity that should not be missed.”

All in all, this Vespa Sidecar Heritage Tour was a dream come true for me as I have always been quick to point out Vespas whenever I saw one on the road. And for once, I was able to enjoy being the one receiving the attention (all right, they were looking more at the Vespas instead of me) as people turned to notice this band of Vespas cruising down the roads.
We say that you definitely need to try this Vespa Sidecar Tour at least once, and do take your time to admire all the details of the Vespas and capture more photos for your Instagram or videos for TikTok!
