Jigokudani, also known as "Hell Valley," is a stunning volcanic destination just above Noboribetsu Onsen town. Here, you'll see steam vents, sulfurous streams, and other volcanic wonders in action, making it the primary source of the town's hot springs. Experience the magic of an active volcanic geothermal area! Discover the origins of Noboribetsu's hot springs as they bubble up from beneath, enriched with minerals. Over 10,000 tons of natural, mineral-infused water supply the onsen town's hotels and inns for a truly rejuvenating experience. Plus, a 20-to-30-minute walk will lead you to Oyunuma, a hot pond with a 50-degree Celsius surface temperature, and a nearby even hotter mud pond.

If you want to simply visit places outside Sapporo city, you can choose, but the drive is far and the stay will not be too long. You can consider taking off the tour in Otaru.

Although the park may seem small, it offers many attractions. Even on the day we visited, when the theme park section wasn’t open, there was plenty to see and do. You can easily spend at least 4 hours there. It’s very interesting and fun—even we adults enjoyed it! This is definitely a must-visit if you’re in the area. Highlights include the dolphin show, sardine performance, penguin walk, and seal show. There’s also a large castle housing the marine park, which feels quite mystical and enchanting.

Mr. Takeru Yamaguchi, the tour leader, is really super awesome. For me, who is a road addict, Mr. Takeru Yamaguchi was very patient and careful in solving my problems of getting lost. He also talked and laughed with everyone, was humorous and responsible, and everyone had a great time. Mom is more likely to fall when walking. Mr. Takeru Yamaguchi has always been very careful about my mom’s safety and is very considerate. 100 stars is not too much.

Because we have older family members and don’t know much about Hokkaido’s attractions, we chose this activity. Colleagues from the supplier and the tour guide driver will contact us one day before departure, and tour guide Qiuqiu will arrive at the hotel on time to pick us up on the day of departure. I am very grateful to the tour guide Qiuqiu for allowing us to see the beautiful scenery of Hokkaido that we could only see online in the past. The tour guide Qiuqiu took great care of our group and made the whole trip enjoyable and reassuring. We were lucky enough to participate in this event, which allowed our family to see the beautiful scenery of Furano and Biei comfortably and safely! Although I am not very familiar with Japanese, it is very grateful to have someone who can communicate with me in a familiar language! If you want to travel around Hokkaido easily and comfortably with your family, this is a very good choice.

The zoo is not big, and the main attraction is watching bears. If you are interested in related performances, it would be a good choice. In addition, there is a top-floor observation deck with a good view, where you can take pictures.
