Our tour guide, Dedy, is a professional, enthusiastic and polite local young man. He gave us a detailed speech about the jungle conditions, flora and fauna, as well as the history and culture of Bali throughout the trip. He also provided us with drinking water and a delicious lunch. Overall, this experience was excellent and highly recommended to everyone!

Great value for money adventure, a primeval forest where you'd get lost without a guide, a refreshing canoe, a fascinating temple, and a super beautiful waterfall

It took about an hour and a half from Ubud. I decided to do the jungle tour and it was such a fun time that I don't regret it. If you like nature, I highly recommend it. Trekking in the jungle forest was an impressive and new experience. I was worried that it would be too hard because I was with my mother who is turning 60 this year, but fortunately, it was at a walking level, and the guide waited for me as I walked slowly. The description said that the trekking would take 3-4 hours, so I was worried, but it seems that the total walking time for the day was written down to the waterfall instead of continuously walking through the jungle forest for 3-4 hours. We walked through the jungle forest for about an hour and a half, then we took a canoe and drove to the waterfall and went down to see the waterfall. So I think it was good because it was easy to walk. (However, the stairs going down to the entrance and the stairs going down to see the waterfall were steep, so it was a little difficult, but I don't think it was enough to give up.) My guide was Kadek, and he was really kind and told me about the characteristics of plants and trees while we were trekking, so it wasn't boring to walk. He explained everything in detail, so it was new and fun to listen to the explanation. I went trekking, canoeing, and went to see a waterfall as the last course, so I was able to have a full day with various experiences in one day. I was worried that the lunch menu would not suit my taste, but it was much more delicious than the nasi campur I had at a restaurant with a 4.8 rating in Ubud, and the snacks served in the middle were also delicious. I left in the morning and returned to my accommodation around 4 o'clock, so it seems like a good place to take a short rest at the accommodation and then go out for dinner. If you have the energy, it would be good to go sightseeing in the city or get a massage. If you are staying in Ubud, it seems like a good place to go on a day tour course.

At first, I found this project based on the recommendation of Twin Lake hiking on Xiaohongshu. We made an appointment one day in advance, and the average price for two people was 394 RMB. After booking, the driver will contact us via WhatsApp the day before to set the pick-up time. We set off at 7:30 in the morning. It took about 1.5-2 hours on the road. The fog got heavier as we went north, and we experienced the feeling of "Silent Hill" in depth. After arriving at the place, we met with the guide and started a hike of about 3 hours. The guide who led us was named Kadek. He took us into the jungle and introduced us to the various plants on the road, the customs of praying to the gods, and the stories that happened on this land. On the way, we saw tough vines, more than 300 years old strangler figs, towering giant trees or giant trees broken in the rainy season, bright red flowers of wild ginger, and snow-white mushrooms. On the way, we encountered a giant tree worth remembering. The guide took the initiative to take photos and videos for us, and also shared glutinous rice with brown sugar with us. It tasted pretty good. After coming out of the rainforest, we arrived at one of the twin lakes. We took a double canoe paddled by hand, and across the lake was an ancient temple. After that, we chose to go to the waterfall first and then eat. The road to the waterfall is a bit steep, with a steep slope and many high steps. My knees are not very good, and I can persist in walking slowly. After arriving at the waterfall, you can change into a swimsuit and go into the water, but it is really cold to go into the water. My friend and I persisted for a few minutes, took a few photos and came up. There were also people sitting on the rocks in the lake pretending to meditate, which was quite interesting. Because it was too cold, we couldn't walk to such a central place. After leaving the waterfall, the guide took us to the local family, which was actually the guide cousin's home (it seems that the guide's entire family is in this project, and on the way, I met another cousin of his who led another team). I ate local Indonesian food here, which is not bad~ Kadek people are really good, and we still recommend this project!

It was an amazing tour. Learnt a lot about balinese culture and saw beautiful landmarks. Weather wasn’t great but don’t let that stop you. The fog throughout the mountains in photos at the canoes was just as breathtaking. Both tour guides were helpful and friendly.
