Although it is not possible to take a snow plane due to weather problems, the experience of helicopter landing on the glacier is also worth it, because there is no need to climb the snow, no need to change equipment, it is easy and simple, and there will be a detailed explanation in English before the activity. If you don’t understand English, there are easy Picture explanation: When we were in the snow, we couldn’t see the rocks because we were intertwined with each other, so our feet were slightly bruised when we stepped on them. Please be careful when walking in the snow.

To participate in this event in the summer of New Zealand, stores should provide warm down jackets, windproof jackets, waterproof pants, wool socks, waterproof shoes, and ice grips. Basically, you can wear them normally. If you are afraid of the cold, it is recommended to bring a fur hat, gloves, and pants. You can wear a thermal layer or layer underneath. The helicopter can accommodate up to 6 passengers, and they will be weighed before departure. Those who are thin and light can sit in the co-pilot. If you have never been in a helicopter or worn crampons, it is worth experiencing. The weather is very bad, so it is recommended to reserve at least 2 days to have a chance. If you need to reschedule due to weather, you can go directly to the airport counter to change the time.

We originally booked helicopters and snow planes to land on snow-capped mountains and glaciers, but due to bad weather, only helicopters could land on snow-capped mountains. However, klook quickly reimbursed the price difference and provided good service. Helicopter to the snow-capped mountains is an unforgettable experience. You can see the snow-capped mountains and the surrounding beautiful scenery from high altitude. Although the price is a bit expensive, it is worth the price. It is a must-do in New Zealand.
