Choosing the hotel pick-up service can save you the time of transferring to the subway. The whole day's itinerary is well arranged, with plenty of time and the tour leader is attentive and responsible. It is highly recommended for travelers who don't want to transfer to the bus or subway.

The lady who helped me was very sweet and easy to talk to. It was such a wonderful experience to immerse myself in Japanese culture this way. We were stressed since we missed our return time of 18:00 and were standing in front of closed shop doors. Luckily, the lady was so understanding and sweet to still help us get out of our kimono’s. She didn’t charge a late fee! i highly recommend this shop which is easily accessible from kyoto station by bus or subway. Near the shop is a famous shop where you could go to to take pictures etc.

Absoultely stunning! Trust me! You really don’t need to research for renting kimono/yukata. Just use Kawai.
After dressing in yukatas, we were excited to walk through the area. We looked different, yet fabulous.
My bf and I spent almost 7 hrs exploring, and we admitted that Kawai’s yukatas are more elegant and of higher quality than others.(sorry for others😝) Not only the patterns better, but also the colors are also superior. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not a narcissist.
You will understand what I’m saying, if you visit Kyoto’s klhistorcal areas while experincing yakata.
The owners were so friendly and caring.
Since I have voluminous hair, I know that my hair is tricky to style. But, the owner did an amazing job with my hairstyle.
She kept asking if the pin was not pulling or if she was not tightening the hair, while doing flawless styling. They were super caring while wearing the yukatas as well.
For us, we are already planning to go to Kyoto again during winter to experince Kawai’s kimono. :)

It’s a great experience to experience the century-old tram’s history, customs, and culture. It’s the same feeling a hundred years ago. There are many period houses along the way, which makes me feel very relaxed.
