Tokyo DisneySea is popular among locals and tourists, so big crowds are usually expected.  Although you can queue up to purchase tix at the park’s entrance, you may be denied entry if the crowd inside is already too big. 

To skip the queues and avoid disappointment, the easiest and most convenient way to pre-book tickets to Tokyo DisneySea is on Klook. You can book a 1-day pass for either DisneySea or Disneyland. Or why not both?

Opening hours are typically 9 AM to 9 PM, but you can check out their calendar in case of adjustments. 

Tokyo DisneySea has seven themed zones or “Ports of Call,” all based on harbours of the world or Disney films. You’ll spot the first one, Mediterranean Harbor, at the entrance. You’ll immediately be reminded of an Italian port town complete with canals and gondolas. 

Another Port of Call is the Jules Verne-inspired Mysterious Island, where you can board Captain Nemo’s submarine and explore the ocean or journey to the centre of the Earth. And while most Disney parks have a princess’ castle as their centrepiece, DisneySea has an active volcano that erupts during the day—it’s completely safe, by the way!

Mermaid Lagoon is the turf of Ariel and her friends, with plenty of fun attractions suitable for kids. There’s even an underwater-themed playground for the little ones!

Another Port of Call that will transfer you to a different part of the world is the Arabian Coast, based on Arabian Nights, where Aladdin, Sinbad and friends originated. 

Lost River Delta is based on the Aztec Ruins in the Central American jungle. Experience Indiana Jones-esque adventures and hop on the Raging Spirits Roller Coaster to pump the adrenaline! Its futuristic sibling is Port Discovery, which has equally futuristic simulation rides. 

Finally, there’s the American Waterfront, reminiscent of 20th-century New York, New England, and Cape Cod harbours. Its coastline is dotted with American-style restos and shops. You can also hop aboard the S.S. Columbia steam liner to journey the park's waters. 

Tokyo DisneySea has heaps of fun and exciting rides based on various Disney franchises and their respective Ports of Call. If you’re with kids, Toy Story Mania! in American Waterfront is a great pick! On this tram ride, you can simultaneously play arcade and carnival games. 

Also on American Waterfront is the Tower of Terror, a tower drop ride that’s sure to thrill! Versions of this ride are based on the Twilight Zone in Disney parks worldwide, but DisneySea follows an original storyline of Harrison Hightower III, the tower’s builder and owner. 

Venturing into Mysterious Island, you can embark on the Journey to the Center of the Earth, a subterranean ride that takes you through the park’s centrepiece active volcano! Also in Mysterious Island is 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, a submarine ride that’s as DisneySea as it gets, taking you to the depths of the sea!

At Lost River Delta, you can hop on Raging Spirits, a thrilling roller coaster that speeds through excavations in Central America, complete with a 360-degree loop!

Thanks to its popularity, DisneySea hardly has a low season. It attracts its biggest crowds during public holidays in Japan, such as New Year's, Golden Week (end of April to early May) and school holidays. You can avoid those seasons if you don’t like crowds.

If you don’t mind crowds, these holidays are great for catching seasonal events and celebrations such as Christmas and Halloween.
