Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine tours

it was a great side trip from the busy area of hakata and tenjin. beautiful places, especially yufuin. best time to go is during autumn. special thanks to our guide, Thomas. Very fluent in english and chinese. he is so informative which makes the trip more fun. he is also kind and helpful.

At Kumamoto Castle we did not explore much inside as there was limited time. We only took some photos on the ground. We were lucky, however, that we were allowed access near the crater of Mt. Aso. Food at the restaurant was delicious. Again, time was limited so we were not able to walk around much. The Kurokawa onsen was quite a walk from the parking lot. It was a beautiful, small village, quiet and atmospheric. There was a small bakeshop with freshly baked sweet potato breads, the smell wafting through the air. You could see spring water running under a small bridge too.

We had the best time viewing autumn leaves in this region of Japan! Our tour guide, Daisy, was very helpful and approachable. She shared stories and information about the tour spots that piqued our interest and made the trip more meaningful. Be prepared for a lot of uphill walks and a tight schedule. Best to have snacks/food with you because the itinerary is packed, there’s no time to have for lunch.

Customer service contacted me the night I placed the order, and I arrived on time on the day of the trip. There were 8 of us in the group and we took a 10-passenger car, which was very comfortable. The driver was familiar with the scenic spots and traffic routes. We didn’t think we could go up to the volcano at first. After understanding the situation, the driver opened a road and we could drive up the mountain. We finally saw Mount Aso! It’s no problem even adding attractions temporarily, it’s fun and relaxing!

Nice day tour from Fukuoka. The boat ride was very peaceful and beautiful. Definitely worth it for a day of no planning

We had a great experience! We really enjoyed the sites, the guide was excellent, the transportation was comfortable and in general we are very happy that we chose this tour.

The tour started on time and our tour guide Weila was very informative. We visited Dazaifu Tenmangu but it’s under renovation. Nyoirinji Temple was a cute place too, unfortunately chimes were removed before our visit and they were just starting to replace it with lanterns. Lastly, we visited Yufuin’s Kinrin lake and toured freely. We took Yufuin no Mori train using JR Kyushu rail pass.
