Sapporo Clock Tower
Museum
Located in Chuo Ku, Sapporo, Sapporo Clock Tower, known locally as Tokeidai, is a historical attraction that has been declared a National Important Culture Property. It has a museum and gallery that showcases Sapporo's history. Back in 1878, during the early years of Sapporo's growth, this building was originally a drill hall for the Sapporo Agricultural School. It was later in 1881 when a clock from Boston was added to the structure. Now, the Clock Tower has transformed into a museum. On the ground floor, you'll find exhibits detailing the history of the building and Sapporo. Head up to the second floor to see displays about the clock itself and a spacious hall that brings to mind the simple structures of the colonial American Midwest.

The location is very close to Tanukikoji, and not far from the 24-hour Don Quixote. The breakfast is okay. There is Odori Station Exit 34 nearby. When it rains and snows outside, you can take the underground tunnel from Sapporo Station all the way to No. 34 and then come up. No need to wait for red lights and wind and snow to hit

Although the tour guide only speaks Japan, he will have an English or Chinese translation of important messages! So it’s not a big problem! Because the drive is too long, the zoo time is only two hours, so it's best to buy bento and get on the bus, because there are too many people queuing up to buy food at the zoo!

it’s a rush one day tour but our tour guide Lisa had did a great job, arranging all the spot with suitable timing so that we able to bck to Sapporo on time 🍀 she is friendly and nice which made the tired and rush tour be a wonderful one, plus with the beautiful view, definitely worth the price ❄️

Transportation is convenient. Very close to Tanukikoji shopping spot. The hotel is quite spacious and the bed is very comfortable. There are also very considerate supplies provided to guests. The snow scene outside the window is great. Will stay again next time. Highly recommended.

The Otaru experience tour was absolutely magical! From the charming canals to the beautifully preserved architecture, the entire tour felt like stepping into a fairytale. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, sharing fascinating stories and history about the town.
The highlight for me was exploring the quaint shops and tasting the local delicacies—especially the fresh seafood and desserts, which were divine! The glassblowing and music box workshops were also a unique touch, allowing us to take home memorable souvenirs.
Everything was well-organized, and the pace of the tour was just right. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Hokkaido—Otaru is a gem not to be missed!
