Our guide, Catherine Lee, fluently spoke four languages, including two dialects of Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), as well as English and Japanese. She was incredibly helpful, providing detailed explanations to all of our questions and making the day interesting by sharing insightful information about Japan, including customs, the recycling system, and proper etiquette for bowing.

Two days before departure, I went to the information center under the Sapporo TV Tower to exchange the paper pass. The staff could speak Chinese and explain how to use the bus pass and hot spring pass. For bus tickets, you use coins to scratch off the year, month and day you want to go to. I showed it to the driver when I got on and off the bus. The hot spring roll is a choice of three, and can be used at Yunohana, Manseikaku, or Toyohirakyo hot springs in Jozankei. The bus stop is at bus stops 26 and 27 on the right side of Tokyu Department Store, or you can come from Exit 23 of Shin-Sapporo Station. Walking down from Exit 23, there is a bus information board, toilets and chairs where you can rest. I got off at the Daiichi HOTEL parking lot stop in Jozankei, walked a few steps, had lunch (egg rice bowl) at Coke (with restrooms), and there are two paths from Futami Park (with restrooms) across the Futami Suspension Bridge , one of the viewing platforms is currently closed. Take another road to the parking lot behind Yunohana. Go out and take Route 230. The sidewalk on the left is very wide. Then walk towards Toyoheikyo Hot Spring. You will pass a small driver's rest stop (with a toilet) on the way. After soaking in the hot springs at Toyohei Gorge (bring your own towel or rent it locally, the open-air view is great), there is a bus stop diagonally opposite the entrance. I took the bus at 16:53 (the last bus was 19:53) and returned in front of the Sapporo TV Tower. Get off at Odori Park, 18:12 pm, it’s still dark, 2024.06.17.

I am really sorry. Due to my own fault, I remembered the wrong meeting place. The tour guide, driver and friends in the car waited for me for 20 minutes longer, but still didn't see me. It was also because of my fault that the tour guide couldn't contact me. Later, when I realized this problem and contacted the tour guide, the tour guide Noguchi patiently and carefully helped me contact how to deal with this unexpected situation, and finally caught up with the main group. I am really grateful to the tour guide Mieko Noguchi for being so loving.

The itinerary was very smooth. The tour guide Ding Ding was also very attentive and explained clearly the itinerary of each stop. The itinerary was well arranged and gave enough time to appreciate the praise. I will definitely join the one-day tour next time.

Jozankei canoe activities are fun for both adults and children. The staff may accompany you. The stream is cold and the riverbed is shallow. The staff will remind you to get off the boat to take pictures and play in the water! Give it a try if you have a chance

As the pickup point changes. I had a bit of trouble finding it. Still, I was able to participate thanks to the kind guidance provided by the travel agency. There were detailed safety explanations and some customers rode with their dogs. Be sure to try it when you come to Sapporo! The water is so clean.

Beautiful views!! We visited so many stunning places of interest. There’s even time to enjoy a natural hot foot bath and it felt amazing after all the walking we did in different locations. If you want to go up to Uzusan, you can, but you have to be prepared to run to the cable car and up to the peak because there’s not much time. But the view is amazing!!!

Collect your tickets on the first floor of the Odori Park TV Tower. The staff can speak Chinese. The Jozankei bus timetable will be attached. You can find a convenient location to get on the bus (I got on the bus at Susukino Station and got off at Susukino on the return trip). There will be Jozankei patterns next to the buses, so you don’t have to worry about getting on the wrong bus. , the driver will look at the ticket (make sure you don’t miss the month and date). The distance is about an hour. Choose where you want to get off, and then you can take your time in Jozankei. Highly recommended for travelers who want to take a bath.
