As Frozen 2 rushed into UK cinemas this month – 22nd November, to be exact! – it feels like the First Time In Forever we’re allowed to talk about our favourite characters all over again (had to do it, sorry!).
Set three years after the first film, Frozen 2 sees all our favourite characters (and some new ones!) go on another awesome adventure. This time, they’re travelling to the far North to try to find the source of the strange sound Elsa hears, and to save the kingdom of Arendelle.
If you fancy going on your own adventure to find the Ice Queen and her friends, Disney parks around the world are feeling the Frozen 2 freeze, so we’ve pulled together everything you need to know to help you discover where you can find everyone’s favourite talking snowman – he’s dishing out warm hugs to everyone!
At Disneyland Paris, check out the Frozen Celebration from 11th January – 3rd May 2020. This includes the ‘Frozen 2: An Enchanted Journey’ special parade with a brand new float, ‘Frozen: A Musical Invitation’ which is an awesome interactive sing-along, and Olaf giving out his favourite warm hugs wherever you can find him around the park. On top of all this, Sleeping Beauty’s castle will be lit up with Frozen magic in the Disney Illuminations light and fireworks show, there’s an incredible new night-time lake show on the shores of Lake Disney (only on the 27th, 29th, and 31st January), and be sure to check out all the new Frozen food, drink, and merchandise around the parks. We wouldn’t even know where to start!
Disney World Resort Orlando creates even more of its own Frozen 2 fun with the Epcot Frozen Ever After Ride – a musical boat ride around the kingdom of Arendelle; Hollywood Studios’ Frozen Sing-Along Celebration – a sing-along story of the enchanted kingdom with other special surprises (which we won’t ruin for you, don’t worry!); and meet up opportunities with Princess Anna and Queen Elsa at the Royal Summerhaus, and Olaf at Hollywood Studios. Once you’ve met them all, see all your new friends in the Festival of Fantasy parade, and in Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire, and make sure to take your little princess to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and give her the chance to become Princess Anna or Queen Elsa for the day herself! While you’re exploring the parks, make sure to stock up on all the new merchandise at the Epcot Wandering Reindeer store, or the Frozen Fractal Gift Shop in Hollywood Studios.
If you’re heading over to the West Coast of the U.S., explore Frozen 2 at Disneyland California with Frozen Live at the Hyperion – a spectacular stage show inspired by the magic of the first movie, and make sure you meet Princess Anna & Queen Elsa in Hollywood Land – inside the Disney Animation building. If you’re also a big fan of warm hugs, then make sure to get your fill of these from Olaf at the Adventure Park in Hollywood Land.
Even Hong Kong Disneyland freezes over for the celebrations, where you can visit the Frozen Fantasy Gardens Village – this market setting includes decorations, market stalls for all your Frozen merchandise, and character greeting opportunities. The freeze continues with a Magical Frozen Snowfall – as dusk falls on Main St., see all the performers along with Anna, Elsa and Olaf, and be sure to check out the StoryBook Shoppe in FantasyLand where little girls can meet their Fairy Godmother and be transformed into Princess Anna or Queen Elsa at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Princess Transformation.
Finally, check out Shanghai Disney Resort’s Frozen 2 activities where you can join Queen Elsa, Princess Anna, and Kristoff for the Frozen Sing-Along Celebration, and then meet all your favourite characters at the meet and greet opportunities around the parks.
If you’re planning a little further in advance for an anticipated Frozen withdrawal, Hong Kong Disneyland and Disney Resort Tokyo are both gearing up for substantial Frozen expansions to their parks in 2021 and 2022 respectively.
So, after you’ve followed the Frozen 2 magic Into The Unknown (that’s the title of one of the songs from the new film and a new firm favourite of ours, in case you didn’t already know!), use Klook to book your tickets to all the Frozen 2 fun.
