You’d have to have been hiding under a rock for the last 7 years to not know about the epic BBC drama, Peaky Blinders. Actually, given its meteoric rise to global popularity (much like the Shelby family itself), it would’ve had to have been a small pile of rocks. Sound-proof rocks. Yeah. A small pile of sound-proof rocks somewhere out in the middle of the desert with no WiFi and no TV. Then, and only then, would you not know who Tommy, Arthur and Polly are.
Which is good, because that means we’ve got great news for everyone who hasn’t been living a hermit life for the past decade - you are now officially invited to become an honorary member of the Shelby family byt strolling along the same streets and following in the footsteps of the Shelbys and the whole Peaky Blinders business!
Crowned the best TV Show of the past decade (2010-2020) by LadBible, the epic drama is based in 1920’s Birmingham but actually filmed in present day Liverpool. Who knew??
And now fans of the show are able to book themselves onto a guided tour of the very streets on which Tommy, Arthur and Polly have built their totally ‘legitimate’ business.
You'll be able to hop on a bus at St. George’s Hall before cruising the bustling street of the city and being shown a whole host of the series’ filming locations, including Polly’s home, the spot where Tommy Shelby was beaten by Father Hughes’ henchmen and more.
There’ll be panoramic views of the city from across the famous Mersey river, and you’ll hear inside stories about the making of the show and how Birmingham’s history inspired the series narrative.
The tours cost £35 per person and take visitors to some of the most famous spots from the show including the home of Field Marshall Russell, which was the target of a letter bomb by Tommy, and the terminal where Changretta tried to escape to the US in season three.
Tours last four hours and will be packed full of fun Shelby secrets and trivia which is great! Except that when you're having that much fun, the day is sure to go faster than Grace’s Secret at the Epsom Derby!
So what're you waiting for? Book yourself a ticket - by order of the Peaky Blinders!
