Fans of our UK theme parks will be pleased to hear that, in line with government guidelines, Chessington World of Adventures and Thorpe Park are both open for their usual thrills, family fun, and adventure! 🎉
Chessington Zoo opened on the 18th June, and both theme parks reopened on the 4th July, so book your tickets with Klook now!
Read on to find out what adjustments have been made to account for the social distancing measures being practiced, and for answers to questions you might have to ensure everyone stays as safe as can be while enjoying the fun.

    Park Rules

    • All guests must have a mask which needs to be worn on rides, in stores and arcades, and when queuing indoors
    • Social distancing advice must be adhered to
    • Park is running at limited capacity so only pre-booked tickets are valid
    • Guests are encouraged to use contactless cards rather than cash wherever possible
    • Please do not visit the park if you are showing any symptoms associated with COVID-19
    • Non-contact temperature sensors will be used on all guests and employees before they enter the park

    FAQs

Does my Klook ticket count as a pre-booked ticket for entry?
Yes, you select a date when booking and your ticket is only valid on this date.
What if the park has to close on the day I’m supposed to go?
We recommend checking the Thorpe Park and Chessington websites & social media pages before you leave to travel to the park in order to check the most up to date information and be informed of any changes before you travel.
In the event of the parks having to close again, please contact support@klook.com to arrange for a refund or rescheduling of your tickets.
    Are all the rides open?
No, not all of the rides and attractions are open but the majority of them are. Some indoor facilities are having to remain closed for now.
Do I have to wear a mask at all times within the parks?
Not at all times, but all guests over 11 years of age must have a mask with them and these must be worn on rides, in stores and arcades, and when queuing indoors.
If I forget to bring a mask / hand sanitiser, can I buy some in the parks?
Yes, masks are available for purchase within the parks if you forget or need to replace yours, and there are hand sanitiser stations set up for use around the resorts.
Will employees also be wearing masks and other PPE?
Yes, all employees will have new PPE requirements depending on the activities they’re completing. These include face masks, disposable gloves, eye protection and hand sanitiser.
    Are the rides being cleaned?
    Yes, all high-frequency touchpoints
What if I or someone in my party is showing some symptoms of COVID-19?
If anyone in your party is showing any symptoms of COVID-19, please do not visit the parks and ensure you follow government guidelines around isolation at home. Non-contact temperature checks are being carried out for all guests and employees before entering the parks, and you will be refused entry if you have a high temperature or are showing any symptoms.
Instead, please contact support@klook.com and ask that your tickets are rescheduled for a later date.
Can I still eat in the restaurants?
Yes, most of the food stalls and restaurants are still open, but seating arrangements have been changed to ensure social distancing can be observed, and there are some new menu offerings to place a greater emphasis on ‘Grab & Go’ options. Self-service buffets and salad bars have also been reconfigured or closed, and cutlery and condiments will now be given to guests with their meal, or on request, rather than left in open areas.
What do I need to take with me?
    • At least one mask, with a spare one just in case yours gets lost or gets wet on a ride! (masks are available to purchase within the parks too)
    • Your contactless bank card / phone with Apple or Android payments set up - contactless payments are requested while in the parks
