Souvenirs are a must-have when visiting Universal Studios Japan. Isn’t it great to bring home something to remind you of the wonderful time you had inside?
One of the most popular souvenirs inside USJ are merch featuring the adorable Minions. They can be found almost everywhere in the park, but most are at Universal Studios Japan's Minion Park, which opened in Spring 2017.
What is Minion Park?
Universal Studios Japan's Minion Park is inspired by the city in the "Despicable Me" franchise. If you've watched the movies, you're probably familiar with its quirky yellow creatures, famously known as the Minions!
Inside Minion Park, souvenir shops are lined-up from left to right in Minion Marketplace. What's great about these shops is that they are connected, so there's no need to step outside to get from one store to another.
Here’s a sneak peek of three of the souvenir shops inside Universal Studios Japan's Minion Park:
- Sweet Surrender
- Fun Store
- Minions Pop Shop

1. Sweet Surrender
The Minions can't get enough of sweet treats. If you have a sweet tooth just like the Minions, don't miss out on their massive gumball machine and mega-sized candy at Sweet Surrender, which are guaranteed to put a grin on your face. Their main offers are sweets, but they also have a “Fluffy” goods corner with plush toys—like the unicorn that Agnes always cherishes!
These enormous stuffed animals are priced at 8,000 Yen (including tax). Trust us, you won’t be able to resist how adorable these are!
Next to the Fluffy corner is the awaited Sweets corner, where you can find a variety of chocs and candies. Here’s what we love:
Chocolate and chocolate crunch set (1,600 Yen including tax)
A set of cookies and chocolate shaped like a minion (1,800 Yen including tax). These cans even have Tim's hat on them—cute!
Chocolate crunch (1,700 Yen including tax) that can double as a trash can after you eat.
A boxed tart cookie decorated with minion faces (1,600 Yen including tax)
There are even Castella cakes moulded as Minions (1,600 Yen including tax)!
Feel the sugar rush when you buy the Custard Pudding (1,200 Yen) that comes in a Minion-shaped container.
If ever you feel like munching on something, try this stylish Pasta Snack (1,400 yen including tax)!
You can also buy this oversized rice cracker (2,200 Yen including tax) as a souvenir.
Of course, Tim wouldn’t be absent from this sweet array. Check out this charming Tim Caramel placed inside a soft vinyl pouch (1,600 Yen including tax).
There is also a set of cookies and rice puffs tucked inside a corduroy basket (1,800 Yen including tax)!
If you’re planning to buy souvenirs for parties, schools, or for your workplace, there are individually-wrapped sweets that come in cans and containers that you can still use after you finish eating. Isn’t that great?
2. Fun Store
Aptly named the Fun Store continues the Minion fun with its selection of Minion-related toys and merch: from stuffed animals and cushions to stationery items like notebooks and pens.
There is a wide variety of handy cups (starting from 1,000 Yen including tax) adorned with the Minions (and Tim, of course!)
There are also mugs, tumblers, and water bottles.
As well as cutleries like chopsticks, spoons, and forks. You won’t be able to resist how adorable the kid sizes are!
Of course, there are also a lot of stationery goods in here. You’ll have a hard time deciding which pen to buy. Better yet, try to collect all your favourite Minions!
There’s also an eraser and pencil set you can share with friends.
Other standard souvenirs like key chains can also be purchased.
Do you love stuffed animals? You’ll find a wonderland of them here! There’s a plushie for each character and size, but this is possibly the cutest: plush minions inside a banana bag! (4,800 Yen including tax)!
If you love Tim as much as Bob does, you better check the corner where you can find heaps of Tim goods. There are caps (3,800 Yen including tax), trainers (6,300 Yen including tax)...
...plush toys and keychains—all dedicated to Tim!
3. Minions Pop Shop
On the hunt for something fashionable? Check out Universal Studios Japan’s Minions Pop Shop, where you can buy T-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, and more.
As soon as you get inside, this Minion knit sweater (7,900 Yen including tax) will catch your eye!
Trainers, hoodies, and T-shirts are also lined up on the clothes’ rack.
For the little ones, kid-sized clothes are also here.
You can even grab Tim’s very fluffy hoodie (6,900 Yen including tax)!
Prepare for winter with this Tim muffler (2,200 Yen including tax) and hooded poncho (2,800 Yen including tax).
And these gloves (3,300 Yen including tax) and earmuffs (2,500 Yen including tax)!
Even babies have something to wear inside the Universal Studios Japan’s Minions Pop Shop. Take a look at these adorable Tim rompers matched perfectly with tiny Minion socks.
